Kool & The Gang - Sugar Lyrics

Sugar, yeah
I want you

Sugar, sugar
I love you
Sugar, sugar

Sugar, sugar
I need you
Sugar, sugar
To please you

There's no other
In this world for me, sugar
Bye bye, bye bye
Bye, bye, sugar

Sugar, sugar
I love you
Sugar, sugar
I need you

Ooh, sugar
Ooh, sugar
Ooh, sugar

Sugar

Classic!..under rated K&G with that unique Eastern flavor pre Ladies Night and Deodato

  19. j.... ....

Son dos épocas diferentes, antes y con JT. Taylor, pero ambas son igual de buenas, simplemente la orientación con JT fue más comercial, pero en absoluto exenta de calidad

I became a Kool & the Gang fan in 1981 following the ''Something Special'' album. But did not see or know much of them after JT Taylor left but I got the chance to watch them live in London just less than 2 weeks ago. It's made me a bigger fan that ever before and now I am even more curious about their pre JT work.

    0.... ....

    Shhhiiit No disrespect to JT.
What they did during the 80's was phenomenal.
But in terms of the TRUE K&G FLAVA it doesn't even come close to the joints I grew up on of theirs in the 70's HANDS DOWN.

    0.... ....

Me too i i discovered them thanks to this album and decided to listen the 70's songs Awesome. I went to see them in Paris in 1984. One of my best live ever

Kool and the Gang had TONS of great stuff before J.T Taylor joined in 1979 and they went "super poppy" . The self titled 1st album is from 1969 so, there's a decade of the very highest quality soul before ....well, gotta get paid.

    o.... ....

    overjam1 Nothing wrong with that.

    o.... ....

    cant stand JT years.

    o.... ....

Agreed! I thought Hollywood Swinger was among the bubble gum tunes that was an indicator of how far they had fallen. What an extraordinary group of musicians. BTW, I was recently on a plane and a young Black lady had some ear phones through which I could hear Summer Madness playing. I was so surprised that anyone in that generation could appreciate such art, given the prominence of rap and the rest. There's hope, people!

    o.... ....

James Patrick. Not all young Black people listen to rap.Good music is timeless it should not be a surprise this generation is listening to it.

  23. d.... ....

Hearing this again....Man, I just gots to get back to California.

@TheSmalltownclown new lead singer James "J.T." Taylor who joined the group — with 1979's Ladies' Night. Their number one hit in 1980's "Celebration", from Celebrate!, co-produced by Eumir Deodato. More international hits followed in the early 1980s, including "Big Fun", "Get Down on It", and "Joanna". Their 1984 album Emergency yielded four top-20 pop hits, including "Fresh" and "Cherish". Their chart presence stopped after Forever. Taylor left the group amicably to pursue a solo career

  27. o.... ....

This was released as an instrumental on the double cd set called "Kool funk essentials".
