Knowles, Solange - Left Side Drive Lyrics
[Verse 1:]
You.. You got one hand in your pocket
The other on my heart.
We, We got a plan of a lifetime
But don’t know where to start
If I could just talk at all
For the road
Before it comes to life
You’re never blowing out the candles
And I
Can’t learn to say goodbye
[Chorus:]
You never get too far,
And I’ll always be here waiting.
You drive around in circles
So you never get too far.
You never do
Slow down.
You’re moving too fast
You always do.
You never get too far
And I’ll always be here waiting
On the left side drive.
[Verse 2:]
I become a serial lover
And don’t know where to end.
You.
You’re in the state of confusion
And don’t know where to begin.
And all I see is rainbows running
If I could just talk at all
For the road
Before it comes to life
You seem like heaven from a distance
And I
Can’t learn to say goodbye
[Chorus X2]
[Bridge:]
You never get too far
And I’ll always be here waiting.
You never come.
You drive around in circles
So u never get too far.
You never do
Slow down.
You’re movin’
You’re movin’
And I can’t be here waiting
I won’t be waiting
I won’t be waiting
I won’t be waiting
[Outro:]
And the lost isle of Bangladesh
Barbados, Berbuda, Bermuda
This is the pure road
We don’t drive on the left side
But I’ve been waiting on the right side
For you.
You.
Haaa.

Knowles, Solange Left Side Drive Comments
There's no BOC's cover/version I like as much as this, in fact I hate covers.
She has a pretty voice
Still my favorite 2019❤️
Simply stunning.
Mostly BoC, Tycho and Aphex Twin are the reasonable people
Much love to Solange from a BoC fan. This is excellent.
Wasn't a fan of her Slow This Bird Down cover, but this one is amazing! Feel like she really gets BoC.
Still my FAVORITE ❤️
Apparently BOC retweeted a link to this remix on their Twitter page a few weeks back in May 2019 .. They dig it too!!!

Well done.
Been a fan of BoC ever since I discovered them 15 years ago. Came here after listening to her version of Slow This Bird Down. Didn't like it, but I'm digging this.
Incredible, but the voice is mixed too loud!
I agree. Although I should clarify that as a big BoC fan I can't escape a feeling of bias towards to music, but I do genuinely find the singing beautiful and a very respectful addition to the music. However, the track itself - despite somewhat intricate layers - leaves a gorgeous open, airy and stripped-back impression for me. I feel, despite the number of tracks it uses, it is spacious, restrained and allows each sonic addition room to breath and weave in and out. Because her vocals - beautiful though they may be - appear to be mixed too loudly, they don't allow the track to breath as a whole, which is a little disappointing.
edit: it could also be down to the quality of this upload, so I'm going to do some digging.
love both!

I’ll never forget the feeling I had hearing this for the first time....
Bree Motley it's been almost a god damn decade I think since I first heard this. Damn.
I wonder if she realises the LSD reference. (I just read the lyrics, I think she does)
This song smacks...love solange
Still love this! I always turn to version of Left Side Drive now - it's the only pure Boards track that's better with vocals.
Love this song
Still a fave
Simply wonderful.
you know it's really cold in canada because is a left side drive
Kristina Zanghi no. It's not.
Damn, this is excellent.
actually, the music of this song is from Boards Of Canada, a scottish electronic duo that I strongly recommend. I wish these singers had this audacity more often
Peter Blackearth true
shes sang over two of their songs because she is a big fan of them. they arent credited cause they dont want that kinda spotlight. she isnt being audacious, this is great
Wow. I can't believe how great this mix is. Totally awesome.
This song is so pretty, a pulchritudinous voice.
The real Queen.
The ish
So refreshing
The thumbs down is for the fact she isn't sitting on their lap.
