I wish The Knife would just slit my throat. I guess they are in a way with this song. The pain just lasts about 9 minutes longer and I'm not actually dead in the end but rather wishing I were. Maybe I'll just do it myself. Christ. What happened? They are even trying anymore.

@Telairon what you're hearing is more than likely a synthesizer found in ableton live or something... and the preset is one that sounds a lot more like an Indian tabla than it does a steel drum

I think with this album, some people are forgetting that The Knife's ambition was never to please us.
 
An artist makes art for themselves, it's an outward expression of an inward feeling or emotion that can otherwise not be explained because there just haven't been words made for them. Human beings have a massive spectrum of emotions that go far beyond the ones that have been gifted with actual names. Music, artwork, dancing, poetry, even photography can convey these emotions from one person to another. How the other person interprets them, is simply up in the air.

The job of an artist isn't to please people, it's to express these emotions as they see fit. They simply share with others because out of the many individuals on this planet, they might resonate with someone else in a positive way.
