Knife, The - Ready To Lose Lyrics
Thinking about the mouth that waters,
Thinking about losing.
Sucking the marrow, feeding the pain.
Facing a consequence
The blood
the mine
the yours
combined
blood control
A hazy line
Rearranging
of desires
Ready, ready to lose a privilege
Dysfunctional culture
spin me away
Preserving the bloodline
Fear of suffering, fear of loss
Sucked in your birth rights
The blood
the mine
the yours
combined
blood control
A hazy line
Rearranging
of desires
Ready, ready to lose a privilege
An ongoing habit
a transfer of possessions
Ready, ready to lose a privilege
A final sequence
An end to succession

It's only after you've lost everything that you're free to do anything...
HOOOOOOLY SHIIEEEET WHAT A SONG
Their best album. Best duo ever?
Did they really release Shaking the Habitual under Creative Commons??
I've lived my life expecting to die soon. Not today, or tomorrow, but soon. Since I was a tiny child. There are too many reasons why to list, marginalizations and abuses. They're the same reasons I lose every community by slow attrition and snap every friendship in a single final standing up for what I believe in, and enter every interaction ready to face it again.
This is one of the few things that really speaks to me. To thudding anxiety and fatalistic resolve.
Wait until you were born pre-mature, survived to have cancer 4 times starting at 22 years old, not to mention getting hit by a car at 13 years old. THEN you can bemoan your pitiful existence. Wake up snowflake.
@Nic Lawson You wake up. You seem to lack any form of compassion. Don't think that makes you strong.
@Nic Lawson That's a really stupid point that so many people bring up. Those things are only bad because you (or society) make them seem that way. You don't need to be stressed out by disease and injuries. There are people totally content with impending deaths. What stresses someone else out isn't any less significant than what stresses you out. I had a painful disease and surgery for it. The difficult part wasn't the pain, but the fact that people have expectations for me that I couldn't meet because of the disease. Pain and disease can validate, invalidate, or do nothing to someone based on their values.
Swan Scream dang. 💗

The first person to dislike this gets a first class paid for trip to Hell.
Well there it is. Someone is going to hell. Come forward to claim your prize you filthy dirty human being.
intelligentsia rise.
Amazing! But "Without Your Love My Life Would be Boring" is my fav! Ugh it's amazing.
Every night when I finish my minimum wage paying job and walk home I stroll down this one particular street called "millionaires row" and belt this out every time. Get home to my cramped dark apartment and feel grateful to have anything at all.
Well then, step to it?
Perfect end for the album!
Great song for a weird choreography
Beginning kind of reminds me of Ennio Morricone's theme song for The Thing and that's perfect to me!
Yes, it reminds me of it too, funny to find a comment saying the same.
Btw, I love the movie, the theme and this song.
the perfect 2013 morph of from off to on and one hit. im dancing on the tables.
my favorite of STH
