Kings Kaleidoscope - A Prayer Lyrics

Will I fall or will I misstep?
Will I fall or will I misstep?
Will I call You with my last breathe?
Will You be there for me after?
Will I waste inside the silence
Where the fear is fucking violent?
Wicked sinner thrown to lions
With no hope on the horizon
Will I fall or will I misstep?

If I fall or if I misstep
If I fall or if I misstep
If I call You with my last breath
Will You be there for me after?
'Cause I'm wasting in this silence
And my fear is fucking violent
I'm a child thrown to lions
Is there hope on the horizon
If I fall or if I misstep?

Jesus, where are You?
Am I still beside You?
Jesus, where are You?
Am I still beside You?
Jesus, where are You?
Am I still beside You?
Am I still beside You?
Jesus, where are You?
Jesus, where are You?

I’m right beside you!
I feel what you feel!
And I’m here to hold you
When death is too real!
You know, I died, too!
I was terrified!
I gave myself for you!
I was crucified
Because I love you!
I love you, child!
I love you!

Kings Kaleidoscope A Prayer Comments
  1. G.... S....

Going through this pain sucks, life just slowly falls apart but you have to fight

  2. 1.... ....

I'm so glad they did this. I think the Christian music industry does us all a great disservice in the types of songs (swearing or otherwise) that they play sometimes. Super upbeat, vague references to vague struggles and vague pain. I love music from Christian artists who throw out the vague formalities like David does in the psalms. Sin is painful, injustice is pailful and when we read the psalms its very rare to see constant refrains of "praise the Lord" without the preface of the specific struggle the Israelites were going through.

  3. J.... M....

This song forces you focus on what really matters, which isn't the cussword, but the Savior.

  4. l.... t....

    0:43 thank me later 😏

  5. T.... B....

It's about time Christian musicians start using the F-word. I just never get to hear it otherwise, because I only listen to Christian music.
This has been a long time coming.

  6. B.... F....

    Love it

  7. F.... F....

This comment section sounds like a playground lmao

  8. E.... C....

All you are idiots for defending the use of an f word! This is no way to worship God

  9. A.... L....

It doesn't matter what he felt during this dark time. This was obviously something that was and is intimate for God and himself ONLY. Not everything needs to be shared to the world especially if it is not ministering to others as TRUTH. All through these comments ppl are using Scripture to justify the explicit language. I get it. I've read it too. But God doesn't give us those scriptures to justify sin or emotion. It is to further the Kingdom by using wisdom! Are you guys blind? You must hold your brothers and sisters accountable. This part of his journal shouldn't have made it to media. You guys are glorifying his rawness rather than seeing what is going on here. Do you see? Where do you draw the line? Do not conform to the empathetic ways of the world and drive off emotion! You guys are trying to validate sin here.... corrupt people! There is nothing explicit about the Kingdom of God. This is just another way Satan blinds. Lukewarm. Blasphemy. This move was risky and does not glorify the Lord. Light and darkness WILL NEVER SIT TOGETHER. This should have been prayed on. Fasted for. And I promise you GOD would not have revealed it to him that YES go ahead and use this for Gods glory. Smh.... New Agers will do anything to accept Satan. Even if it's a little.

  10. D.... 1....

I heard this song because my best friend shared it to me. Im not gonna lie, at first I was put off by the explicit language. But that was before my life started falling apart. One night, I got home crying because I found out I have a possibility of going blind in the future. I was in deep pain and confusion. I was so scared. My best friend was with me the whole time. She hugged me while I cried and she played this song. And at that moment I understood why he used explicit words. I felt the pain and fear the writer felt when the song was written. This is one of the most raw and honest songs. Its a desperate call for God when everything is falling apart.

  11. C.... S....

When someone purposefully curses in a song I know they don't have the Holy Spirit. Plain and simple.

  12. D.... C....

Reading the comments about people being moved by a word makes me happy to see that there are still innocent people in the world. Blessings guys

  13. F.... R....

If you’ve never “cussed” in a prayer then I pray that you NEVER experience the pain that draws that type of raw emotion to the throne...

    F.... R....

That aint true. I've experiencied real pain and I neever cussed.

  14. R.... M....

Im so dissapointed hearing this :c it could be raw, but that doesnt mean is right. I dont want to hear that kind of words in my music, never.

  15. J.... ....

If you're offended by this, if this makes you "stumble," ask yourself: "am I the weaker brother?"

  16. P.... R....

This forever will be one of the greatest songs. Such a raw outcry. Lord save us this world is turning into hell 🙏🏽

  17. L.... H....

    #sellout

  18. B.... L....

Honestly this is such a masterpiece of Christian music. This song has me convinced Kings Kaleidoscope is the best Christian band alive, and maybe of all time.

  19. J.... W....

Can we really blame it for being explicit? To do so is like saying we have never once said a curse in our lives. This song comes from the heart, so yeah, it is bound to go somewhere that may seem uncomfortable for other believers but still tell the story of the singer who wrote it.

  20. J.... E....

chill with all the f word rebuking, arguing discussing etc. Let's appreciate this music. Why are you even here, It says EXPLICIT VERSION.... ok nobody's perfect, ask Chad why he put it in and know that no one but god can judge.

  21. R.... R....

    I love you kings

  22. R.... R....

    Freaking fireeee

  23. I.... V....

I know this song is about how Jesus is with us even when we still sin but I dont understand why we need to still sing like pagans when we can boast about the goodness of Jesus and how he came to save us from sin and bring us into eternal life.

  24. S.... E....

I understand that this song is communicating the battle one may be facing during His journey to find himself/herself as a son and daughter. We must also understand however, that our past and past circumstances are NOT who we really are. We cannot measure out growth by the amount of pain we have been through. Neither can we compare each other's battles or struggles. There is always going to be someone who had it worse than you. That's why it doesn't matter what we go through or went through. It's about what JESUS went through. That's ultimately what defines our worth, our value, significance. No matter how philosophical life got. Or how absent I felt God was. We must réalisé that the pride of life and the way of the world brings upon us an image we never belonged to. Don't highlight the battle. Highlight the freedom He purchased. Or have we not so learned Christ? People of the world will relate to this. Yes ofc some will. But is that the identity that we wish to communicate as those who reflect Christ? Those who have been renewed and transformed by the power of God. Beloved, walk as children of God. To be a pharisee is to be a hypocrite. Not to love holiness and true sonship and identity. We belong in Him and our soul is restless until we rest in Him. I do not agree with this explicit version of the song. It simply does not bring glory to God and reveal the power of the Gospel and our new identity but highlights our struggle and pain when in the clouds of darkness. Yes, it is a reality that many are passing through and many have passed through. But it's not the truth of who we truly are. And that truth, is what really matters. Peace to you all. may the Lord grant all of you who are fighting a battle a revelation to stop fighting and Yeild to His redemptive power to set you free.

  25. D.... B....

    James 3:1-18
[1]My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
[2]For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
[3]Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
[4]Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
[5]Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
[6]And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
[7]For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:
[8]But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
[9]Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
[10]Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
[11]Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
[12]Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
[13]Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
[14]But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
[15]This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
[16]For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
[17]But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
[18]And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

But hey, I mean the Bible isn't really all that important to modern Christianity, right?, So let's not worry about any of that. Let's just say what we want. I'm sure God doesn't care that we don't care. He isn't concerned that we arent concerned, and I'm sure our testimony will be important to Him even if it isn't to us./s

The entire premise of this song is a person questioning God in the middle of a trial, but that response to trial, even death, isn't the response that we are commanded as Christians to have. Again James tells it like it is

    James 1:1-8
[1]James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting.
    [2]My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
[3]Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
[4]But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
[5]If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
[6]But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
[7]For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
[8]A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

I understand there were Biblical characters that questioned the battle, but we have to remember that the entire point of all of these stories is that those people were wrong and mistaken for doing so.

I know this will be offensive to a lot of people but just know that I'm not saying this in hatred or anger, but in Godly fear that today there is so little regard for what God has shown us in His word that He expects from us. If 2000 years of Christianity before us walked a walk of faith and conviction, who are we to say that we have been enlightened and can no do whatever and however we want. People, be careful who you set up before yourselves as leaders. Peace.

    D.... B....

    Amen, brother.

  26. Z.... I....

The bible talks about not using profane language ( Ephesians 4:29, Colossians 3:8) Now that being said if you want to throw curse words at God in your prayers, even though biblically and respectfully it is wrong, that's between you and God. However when you include them in music aimed at a Christian demographic that's wrong, no matter how "real" it claims to be. It's sad that because you use an f-word people say how "real" you're being. I cannot support this band any longer, we are called to walk blameless and to speak with grace. Judges 17:6

  27. D.... ....

    disgusting

  28. R.... C....

I know many Christians would instantly dismiss this song, but I would have to think those are the lucky ones who have never felt such hell on earth, to the point that death looks comforting. Someone who reaches that point is not going to be moved by a happy happy grace filled message. Nothing wrong with those, but someone that low needs a God who can reach down just as low, and lift them up. This is the only thing I have ever found or heard that can do that. You can feel the unimaginable pain while listening, and no matter how many times I hear it....after that soft violin and everything comes rolling in with the words I imagine My Jesus saying, I lose it. Tears, chill bumps. This song gets it. People get drug down to places they could never save themselves from, but we have a God who is willing to get just as low to save them!

  29. R.... H....

They made a clean version for a reason. If you don't like this version, listen to the clean one.

  30. P.... C....

I could never let my god children listen to this now. Even if this is from a personal place of darkness or pain or hurt we are still to be the light and supposed to make sure we tell truth on the backdrop of Christ being in our lives. The song could have still ministered without the f words. I do not think there is warrant for this regardless of where it came from if we are claiming Christ.

    P.... C....

They made a version without the word ‘fucking’ so I guess you can play that one to your God children 😉

  31. S.... G....

The more I listen the more sense it makes

  32. I.... R....

This ain’t raw prayer this is wrong I get the intent but as a Christian and especially as someone like him who a platform of this level has influence on multitudes and this just makes it ok for this kind of language to be in worship ? What’s wrong with you people

  33. I.... R....

    Garbage

    I.... R....

Ian Roc oh noo, it’s not is it?

    I.... R....

Oh my goodness, far be it from someone to do something out of stereotype

  34. C.... F....

I'm a Christian, and I love the swearing because it's so honest. There's a clear distinction too between the voice of doubt in the first half and Jesus' voice in the second, and the swearing makes the contrast more stark. It's a song of restoration at the end of the day. It's gospel.

  35. G.... L....

Some Christians having seizures in 3...2...1... As a designer (creator) myself, I say that we need these kind of songs more often. David desired for his enemies the goriest of deaths in one of his Psalms, Paul called all the things of this world literally "shit", and called some of the false teachers "dogs" (for context, in Paul's era, it was one of the most offensive insults of all time). When Jesus used to call the Pharisee hypocrites, I'm sure he wasn't using the nicest of terms either. Christians need to be more authentic with their feelings and struggles. Everybody struggle, everybody have cursed before. Everybody have been in a dark place. As long as we can express it and to be "Just As We Are, without one plea" in front of God, and being authentic, without abusing the authenticity and the openness, we can do great things and touch lives.

  36. B.... G....

God didn't command us to never say fuck. Depending on who you are and how you translate Scripture, it may be possible that he only implied it. The fact that this word is being so highly debated is a reflection of how unclear the Bible can be, and how mysterious God is. I was once a proclaimed atheist who said fuck. Now I'm a believer who says fuck.

  37. C.... W....

I feel like this song turned away many Christian listeners. If you don't want their merch then please mail it to me lol.

  38. J.... G....

As a Christian we are called to be different. Yes, we will stumble, and yes we are not perfect. I understand the pain he might have been going through, but to make the effort to let that pain out and use those words, record it, and publish it for other Christians to hear is not a good example of what Christianity is about. We need encouragement and truth on how we can rise above from our sin and the world, not manifest them into this type of expression. We are transformed by Christ in order to be just like him.

  39. T.... ....

This honest to God prayer will always bring tears to my eyes. It’s as if the Lord parted the heavens and spoke, with His triumphant glory in full display. No fear, no struggle, no pain holds power when you call on the name of Jesus.

  40. F.... M....

Actually i have just one things to say : "Why do you see the speck that is in your brother`s eye, but don`t consider the beam that is in your own eye?" when i was in the worst moment of my life, I yelled in a chapel. I told jesus SHIT ! and what ? Am i in the truth or not ? I think Jesus is happy to see me. As low as the man could have fallen Jesus fell lower than him to the golgotha.
Now every man who falls, will fall into HIM. Jesus went down to hell for us !
He is forever receives all misery in his mercy.
Thanks Chad, thanks King Kaleidoscope for your heart beating to live with Jesus. At the cross and the resurrection.

  41. R.... C....

I think that the real question is. was that word necessary? Is it the K.O punch of the song? I personally think that including the F... word just brought division and controversy and it does not add a darkest connotation in the song's background. All glory to the king of kings, and to him only... I just don't get the whole discussion. The Word was not necessary.

    R.... C....

Ray Campos I disagree, I’m a Christian but I struggle with cursing, I do it often and I don’t think Fuck was a make or break word. The actual meaning of the song is what is important.

  42. D.... B....

Crying my eyes out... I've so been here

  43. J.... S....

😳😳😳😳😳 did I hear him correctly?!? I don’t care. That shouldn’t be on a Christian song. Anyone okay with this is lukewarm For real

    J.... S....

    Says who?

  44. W.... R....

Christian music should be free from any words, questionable actions of the group, or any video that has images not honoring God. This song could have been produced with out the foul language but they chose to milk fans over safeguarding Christendom as a whole. May Jesus show them thier error!

    W.... R....

And you have an issue with deleting your comments

  45. o.... ....

I can't help but thinking of Cain and Abel. They both brought sacrifice to God. But Cain did not bring the right sacrifice and it was unacceptable to God because it was not what God had asked for and did not meet His standard for worship. I see the respect for someone's raw honesty in admitting weakness etc., but this song would have been fine with another word... should we honestly expect we can bring our sins to Jesus **as** worship? And no, the swear words are not especially necessary here and easily replaceable with more creative words... these words maybe have come from a diary, but the choice to put them in the song was a choice and if you find it powerful, it may just be the shock of it all. Instead every time this song plays, instead of leading the believer to remember Jesus is with us in our darkest times, this may cause more stumbling and sinning... The Bible also says that God expects us to be set apart. There has to be a balance between "come just as you are" and "put on your sunday best" and finding that balance is tricky, but where we fail have grace to cover us, to free us from our sins and to help us grow out of them.

    o.... ....

It's more a prayer than a worship song, and if he's not sinning, nothing is wrong

  46. J.... E....

I literally cry every time I here this song

  47. C.... R....

I should be suing for writing royalties because I know I've prayed this exact prayer before. I don't want to be where I am, feeling what I feel; but I know how to get where I want to be.

Good lord, people. It's a broken man submitting to the Lord of all creation, crying out in prayer. Cut him some fucking slack.

  48. L.... P....

I think you just fell and misstepped.

    L.... P....

Lance Patterson and how is that?

  49. M.... r....

We can think of so many reasons to do the things we do,this band thought it a good reason to use bad language in this song,to show how he was feeling at the time.we also want to hurt people who have wronged us,have sex out side of marriage, take drugs and get drunk we are in nature sinful, but we know what's right and what's wrong ,the band knew it was wrong to use the word f#*k but they did anyway, why ,for shook value for record sales. Cynical calculating, manipulative are words also, but none of them should be part of our walk with Jesus.

    M.... r....

martin ramsbottom Eph. 5:3-4 has nothing to do with this song

    M.... r....

Hamb ep5:let there be no filthiness.the word f#@k means....well you get what I mean.come brother ,am right, if you have the spirit you know iam.

    M.... r....

He's not using "f**k" in context, it's simply being used as a filler with no meaning (just like freakin, frickin, friggin, dang, darn, etc)

    M.... r....

Hamb am bored now ,am telling you for the last time,it's not ok to use that word , American Christianity is in a mess ,full of false conversions.... please please wake up if you really believe it's ok to use that word in any context, your faith needs looking into, please repent and call out to god Matthew 7:21-23" many will call out Lord Lord did we not pray in your name did we not cast demons out in your name and do wonderful signs in your name and I will say to them away from me you evildoer I do not know you"

    M.... r....

martin ramsbottom Your saying the word is wrong in all context but not saying why...

  50. s.... e....

wow this brought me to tears thank you

  51. B.... M....

As someone who used to be a Christian but has since walked away from it for reasons... I still come back to this song when things get dark.

    B.... M....

    Brian McLean
You should try to get back close to God man. There’s a reason why you go back to this song when things get dark. Stuff like this song can help you out a lot :)
But people like in these comments, stay away from them they’re toxic :/

  52. e.... m....

that's why I stopped listening to Christian music it frankly sucks and tries too hard to be relevant. If your want to listen to music that drops F bombs then listen to good music that's going to drop F bombs.
I feel like my ears just listened to sub par music. Not good enough to be Christian and not good enough to be mainstream. Sadly subpar.

  53. S.... R....

    King Kaleidoscope totally rocks.

  54. g.... k....

I think this is a rockin song because its expanding on art and perception of Christians. People that are not a part of the faith should know that we ain’t“cookie cut holy then thou beings” (at least I’m not). Errybudy Got they own struggle. Theres a time and place for every song. And as far as pointing your children to healthy music, it’s inevitable that there precious little minds will be corrupted by “dirty language” but the bigger problem lies in the message being told in the art and if they are buying into it, not how it is said. Content over context...

  55. B.... R....

Smh. Wake up PEOPLE!!!! You are being led astray by the adversary.

  56. D.... ....

    awesome

  57. T.... ....

    So Powerful

  58. A.... O....

Just to add - I think this song is really cool cos it breaks down the barrier between public mask culture and Chad's real life. We can't just assume everything perfect for him all the time. This isn't a worship song - it was never meant to be. He's simply sharing his heart - his real heart- and whoever wants to listen can. I don't think swearing is ok but I think being fake with yourself and you situation is worse. LOVE this band ❤

  59. S.... C....

    And I miss them

  60. S.... C....

Can you guys all pray for me I’m living in a really hard life my auntie won’t let me see my dad and sister😢😢😢😭😭😭

    S.... C....

    And I miss them😢😢

  61. n.... ....

    Am I still beside you?

  62. S.... W....

This is not a Christian song everyone cursing and questioning God's plan is not Christian at all most of all Christians don't walk the walk it's all for show thats why not many will make it to heaven

    S.... W....

Steven Wooten so asking god what his plan is will make you not a Christian, well there's some logic for ya

    S.... W....

Son I lost my wife a year and a half ago. I am a single father with four kids. My wife was my best friend. There were 850 people at her funeral. As C.S. Lewis writes, 'the cost of love is pain and grief." I don't know if I would have made the same decision Chad did. But I can tell you for sure I have screamed out what the f to the sky. Why did you do this to me?, to my babies (youngest was 5) ? If you haven't questioned God's plan either you aren't honestly assessing yourself, or you have not felt deep despair. Christians are capable of doing just about anything non christians are under the right circumstance. We aren't saved or kept by our actions. We are saved by believing and we are sanctified by the Spirit. We grow in that as we spend time in the Word and prayer. But to act like it is beyond the realm of possibility for a believer to use a socially unacceptable word to voice pain is just foolish and calling someone out for it to the point of casting shadows at their faith is pharisaical.

  63. M.... R....

A typical product of emotion-driven thinking, far from Biblical Christianity. Depressing.

  64. a.... ....

So many comments about the f word than the song. I wanted to read some of the comments to connect with but it's all a debate over the F word.

  65. K.... H....

In my opinion, if people outside of the church listening to this song get closer to a loving God and relate more to it because of the curse word, it is worth any curse word that could have been spoken, and any offense that it might have caused to someone inside of the church. Even for me, as someone who is in the church, the cuss word makes me feel like my deep internal struggle is more validated. I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

  66. J.... ....

Dont let any unclean word come out of your mouth, only that which edifies and builds up. This edifies and builds up, therefore in my opinion its fine.

  67. J.... G....

Expressing is different from Cursing, tho you may use the same words, the difference is in the motive of the heart.

  68. C.... M....

Say what you will about the swearing, but this song connected to me and made me feel God in a way no christian song has ever done. He described my own struggles on point and I bawled after hearing it the first time. This is true art, and worship. It's raw, real, and describes ones struggle with anxiety perfectly.

  69. A.... B....

Honestly I don't care about the cursing. Most of their songs aren't something you would hear on the radio or in church anyway. The cursing could probably be taken out, but to me the cursing adds a little bit of honesty. The message to the song (for me) is someone that is really lost then the reply. Not everyone that is lost has good language. Then the reply is the most important part of the song...isn't it?

  70. T.... ....

    Ephesians 4:29.

  71. Y.... M....

I understand the goal of the song, but I disagree with his use of that word. Also, if the word is ok to use in a Christian song, why aren't any of these people in the comments outrightly using the word??? That's right. It's sin.

    Y.... M....

Luke Williams sure. But read the Bible and it outrightly outlaws this as Christians, saying profanity and sensual sins (such as thinking or talking or singing of them) and that these sins are what makes us go to an eternal separation from God. Again, why is no one explicitly saying and spelling this word???

    Y.... M....

"Where the fear is fucking violent". Let's look at the word 'Fucking'. google says: used for emphasis or to express anger, annoyance, contempt, or surprise. If we consider the context of how the word 'fucking' was used, is the bible saying that's wrong? teach me.

    Y.... M....

Luke Williams the definition of the word never mentions anything about the Bible and besides, this can cause others to sin as it says in the new testament. Ever read the Bible?

    Y.... M....

Yo Momma I’ve read the bible but not all of it. It’s pretty good though isn’t it! I’ve just started reading the book of James. You studying a passage / book atm?

    Y.... M....

Luke Williams yes rn I'm reading through first Corinthians, specifically referring to 8, talking about Christian conviction and how it can vary. You should read it. But that's not what I'm referring to. Read the entire book and realize that God is serious about sin. This is a huge mistake for the band to include this word. It shows that they think that God will cover them for the use of this word and that He just freely gives out grace with no consequence. While this is true, read Romans 6. God doesn't expect us to rely on my on His grace but also to work out our salvation. We are not to live out an unchristian life saying that His grace just covers it all.

  72. P.... M....

That's fine and all... great song. Love the message. But this isn't Christian. It doesn't matter where you come from. You can't consider this Christian... let's just say, this song will not be sung in heaven. But overall, great song man. Just wish you would've kept it Christian.

    P.... M....

Pablo Montez So tell me, what's non Christian about this?

    P.... M....

Hamb don't think this is a song the angels in heaven would sing to praise him. Especially do to the foul language. You can't claim to be a Christian but act like the rest of the world . Don't mix God into the world . Those 2 things don't go together.

    P.... M....

Pablo Montez So what makes a word "foul" and how is it a sin just because the world does it?

    P.... M....

Hamb come on dude. Hahaha you're kidding with that right ?? What makes the "f" word bad?? Lol.. You're just trolling with a false narrative now. If we can't even agree that the word he use was profanity... then we don't have much to discuss.

  73. S.... L....

I love this song so much. I did get a little bothered by those two words, but I just feel this song. I relate to this so much, I always ask where are you when I'm in adversity, like rn. This song is something else

  74. T.... ....

It’s crazy seeing how many Christians are defending the use of cursing in a song. We have a book that is our guide. It’s the word of God, and if our actions don’t line up to it, it is not of God. For it is Christ who lives through us as the word says. There is no defending this, putting the F-word into a song meant to bring Glory to God isn’t Christian, nor does it please the Lord. Stop trying to defend a wrong action and stop allowing confusion, and deception into our church (body of Christ) Sad.

    T.... ....

TheRareone777 So where in the Bible does it say "Thou shall not say the f-word"?

  75. R.... S....

Does Christ's call to holiness not extend to speech, or in this case, an appeal to God? Also, can someone say that the use of the f-word is unwise/irreverent/sinful without making a sweeping "judgement" on one's walk? Respond with scripture to support the positions on either.

This band IS amazing, BUT, the use of the word was unwise (especially in the context of LEADING OTHERS in corporate worship) to say the least, and CAN be regarded as sinful (even though it came from an honest, heart-wrenching place. If we're honest, we can all say that we've lashed out in anguish in sinful ways. Job was honest in his appeal to God and was corrected and humbled. Peter was honest in his admonition to Christ and Christ RESPONDED in admonition to Satan working THROUGH Peter. So let's not delude ourselves to believe that all of our appeals to God are fitting. Authentic? Sure. Met with God's grace? Certainly. But fitting and reverent? Slow dooooown fellow brothers and sisters.)

Take a moment to slowly read Isaiah 6: 1-6. Meditate on Isaiah's vision, and ask yourself "if God were to reveal Himself to me (and allow me to stand) in his complete splendor, would I be able to appeal to Him using profanity?"

  76. J.... ....

People dont notice he said THE F WORD!? wow come on guys this is not even A Christian song!

    J.... ....

JesusChristisTruth haha I think people have noticed. have a look at the other comments!

    J.... ....

How does that make it not a Christian song?

  77. B.... X....

Non-explicit version says "Very Violent" rather than "[Expletive] Violent" if you know what I mean?

    B.... X....

    Actually, it says "Vicious Violent"

  78. A.... R....

I first heard this song last night.
I don't care if it is explicit.
That's the emotion the song writer was feeling at the time.
God knows we go through difficult times.
And sometimes we're so upset we use strong language.
    God understands.

  79. D.... W....

Yeah, I mean this is blatantly ripping off what POD did. Aside from this, How pathetic... think everyone is gonna flock to christianity because you sang a swear word or think you are cooler than the stuffy christians..

  80. m.... f....

well thanks for making me feel bad about liking this song. something this real is never talked about in christian music. really, get a grip on yourselves. acting like people don’t have any issues.

  81. p.... ....

You all miss the point of this song if your main focus is the word "Fuck."

  82. C.... v....

This is NOT a "Christian" band!

    C.... v....

    Why do you say that??

  83. K.... G....

Really this is honesty? Having your own conversation with God is honest but having Christians and the whole world to hear you cuss in a Christian song is honest? Sure you can struggle as a Christian and sometimes cuss in public. But this is cussing on purpose especially in a Christian song. Now, im not judging his heart only God knows it, but no one need to judge but have only discernment. Is he glorifying Christ? I don’t think so especially when using explicit language in a so called Christian song

  84. A.... F....

I would've probably gotten in shape before posing shirtless for an album, but that's just me

    A.... F....

Austin F LOL this is the best comment I've seen on this video

  85. A.... L....

The Pharisee in me wants to say this really shouldn’t be considered a Christian song and in a way it’s true. But the raw emotion this song brings out is strong, intimate, real and I know what it is to have doubt in Jesus asking myself everyday if he’s there, it’s scary knowing the truth but always having anxiety that you may really may not be saved. But Jesus DOES love you and he is with you, even in your darkest times. Pray, read, seek him and he will be your rock in the darkest and stormiest nights. So no, I would not play this on church on a Sunday because it’s not the time or place and because it’s a time to worship the Lord but this song definitely has a place in my heart as a Christian.

  86. I.... K....

This song hit me hard. I am undone.

  87. B.... ....

Wanted to like this band but swearing is a no no if your in the body of Christ. We are called to be set apart from the world and not so as the world does. If you disagree, then your lukewarm.

  88. S.... C....

There is no way this song can be used as a part of my praise and worship. What is this? I can’t go to God with such foul language in my mouth. There is no way !

  89. A.... A....

I dont agree with this song at all. Including a very strong curse word....nope. Dont like it

    A.... A....

    why not?

  90. G.... H....

I'm the lyric video by mistawintaz I left I comment and I'd appreciate it if anyone who thinks the song isn't Christian checks that comment. You don't have to like and you don't even have to change your mind and if you think I'm wrong let me know

  91. m.... ....

I do not know who this band is. I just read an article yesterday and this was linked to it. I can understand the feelings and that this was a prayer in a journal, etc. That is none of my business. But I do not think it is Godly nor wise nor being a good influence to use such language in a song that is put out publicly to others when it is a sin to use such language in the first place. I see no reason to justify it. There will always be a reason, an excuse, but it does not make it right. I do not need to hear it in order to “get it.” I am intelligent and empathetic enough to realize what all of that can entail. It doesn’t mean I have to put it on a record and play it for everyone, and even profit off of it. I’m just saying.

  92. L.... N....

I get the "its got feels" and origins and all that, but still....a Christian band with profanity? Kind of an oxymoron don't you think?

  93. L.... A....

I think it's pretty cool that this track is explicit -- it's connecting with God in a really vulnerable way instead of biting your tongue and trying to pray/speak how you think you "should"...

  94. F.... S....

And he’s not struggling with profanity it’s obvious that he willingly chosen to use those words of choice. I see the comments and it just crazy how people try to justify what he did. Before he even produced the song while he was writing the script of this song he wrote those words on a peace of paper and he had everything all premeditated as to what he was going to say before he posted it. It didn’t even cross his mind to even think that it will be inappropriate to use those words of choice and to replace it with something different. This has nothing to do with Judging anyone . Don’t get me wrong everyone have struggles everyone has downfalls but it’s clearly obvious that he wanted to use those words of choice. It’s not like he’s in a conversation with someone or something and all of a sudden those words slip out accidentally or unintentionally or even unconsciously and even after he use it the first time he follows up with another one I mean c’mon. The melody of the song is pretty nice but we suppose to be different from the world. I love every body there’s no hatred towards anyone but I can’t accept this I’m not lowering my standards.

  95. F.... S....

Around 0:45 he uses the F*%^ word I thought this song writer is supposed to be Producing Christian music if I am wrong about this Artist someone please clarify this because I’m seriously confused.

    F.... S....

    He's Christian

  96. f.... ....

    There's umm, there's a clean version

    f.... ....

    funstuff81girl hahahaha nice

  97. B.... ....

I'm so lost and confused and I know he's there. My whole family has such a beautiful relationship with the Lord and here I am..

    B.... ....

Bruhvr don’t let the enemy convince you that your relationship with Him is invalid. He will never leave you or forsake you

  98. J.... M....

This song could have conveyed everything he is trying to convey without the f-bomb.  Seriously folks, cursing is unbecoming of Christians.  God is HOLY.  How could someone actually curse in a sincere prayer to God and not feel immediately convicted?  Just because I feel like cursing and even if in a moment of anger or despair should I decide or allow myself to curse, it isn't the right thing to do, EVER-- especially in a prayer?  C'mon people!  So now, we are defending CURSING in our prayers to our God and Savior?  Think about that for a moment!  Doesn't that frighten you???  Doesn't that frighten you???  THIS IS THE GREAT FALLING AWAY!  THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WITH ITCHING EARS!  THESE ARE THE FOOLISH VIRGINS!  Please.  I urge you, brothers and sisters, repent and RESPECT THE HOLINESS OF OUR GOD AND SAVIOR!  This is so incredibly, incredibly sad.  :(

  99. D.... a....

If all you can think of is that the song uses the word "fuck" then you have missed the point of the song, and honestly need to grow up. These lyrics are real, they are frightening, they are saddening and they are the cry of a man who has a desperate need for God. That isn't clean, life isn't clean, anxiety isn't clean, depression isn't clean, fear isn't clean. So why should this song that is about life, anxiety, depression, and fear, be clean?

    D.... a....

No, if that's what people are concerned about then it's obvious that it's a word that Christians are not expected to use.
