As culture changes certain cultures will never go away as age goes on some things never age Esther World Wines down before God comes which will be soon some things don't change and there are certain pieces of music even if not Christian can you still have beautiful connotations are beautiful messages and several of Carole King songs do just that but there are many songs have bacteria and I was born in 69 and from the time of 10 years old up if not before so I can remember around six or seven listening to in Dancing with my mother to song such as this and jump as and many others and it's those songs including some rock songs that live on because of what they represented most of everything else is garbage so except for some obviously awesome classic Tunes or classical tunes and some beautiful other soft pieces here comes the folk music or soft rock or soul the late 60s the 70s and the 80s had it all had it all.

Silverfox thats just my opinion.i get ur point. I know Carole is a legend and so is Amy. Both versions are great! But Amy’s version has more energy! It’s a matter of taste. Nothing to do with comparing singers among each other. Some people like a slow version. A softer one. Some not. Cheers!

This is one of my favorite songs from the 1971 album Tapestry. She was very popular during my high school days. Almost all of the songs from the said album was brilliantly written by her and her co-writer but this one really stood out.

Unlike the last Female singers of this century, Carol didn't have to shake her tits or arse.

Right cadence. Still not right though. She’s got the wrong vocal tone & not melancholy enough. Thought somebody from the sixties did the best version, & not the Ronettes, etc.
