i think i like this one the most. it's grey skies and a muddy, clangy racket off in the distance somewhere. i loved the dump when i was a kid, i used to collect old keyboards and electronics and crack them open when i got home to learn how they worked. and i hear that vibe really clearly in the song itself and it brings me back to happy times

I'm thinking it's because this song may be a metaphorical way of describing the difficulty of throwing away objects that no longer serve a purpose and have become a burden, but still hold significant sentimental value. A specific example in the lyrics to support this would be the "parrot cage". This is essentially Sarah having to go to the dump to throw away her parakeet's bird cage and realizing that everyone else is doing the same, throwing away the physical objects that once held value and memories.

I think that time today is better than only acting sure only acting as that feeling o insanity (my opinion btw) but time today just makes a great start to an amazing album.

I love KKB... But I almost feel like a few layers of sound could be scraped off for a leaner, tighter result. It's like going to the dump... You have to dig through the layers to get to what's valuable to you. Problem is, I can"t peel off the parts that annoy me. Just like real life, I suppose. I just feel like I'm having to work hard to like this, and I don't want to have to work that hard. But I support you guys as you sort yourselves out. :)

I came back today and re-listened to this song... It almost sounds like it's been re-mastered since I heard it originally. I remember the vocals being so buried in everything I couldn't make out the lyrics. That seems to have changed, or maybe my ears have adjusted to the sound? At any rate, this song is growing on me...

Yeah, and this song ended up being my favorite from the album. I understand why he didn't like it as much, the song could have used something more to it. But I just love the softness of it and flow.
