This song makes me think of my niece and her brother's. I have always been my niece's second mom. I have been there for all her first. She is now 8 my sister went on to have 3 boys after her. My youngest nephew will be 3 April 6th and I raised him for the first 20 months of his life then the lovely court system gave them back to her only to have them removed maybe 2 months later and put into foster care my heart aches daily missing them. I still look around my house waiting for my nephew to yell mom or cry for me like he still does to this day my niece has my heart and always will. I was a single mom to 9 children and every one of them have been a blessing to me. I just wish people would see the real value of their children. I by no means am the perfect parent but the one thing I will always do is have an open door for any child in need. Now I am a new grandma as of March 19th and I still long for all my kids. I still hurt for my niece and nephews. They do deserve to know where home is, they deserve their mother to wake up and be who they need her to be. I will thank her for blessing me with her children who saved my life, as they know they have. They gave me the strength to do the things I knew I needed to do. Every child is a blessing. Sorry so long

This song hits home for me. I have a disabled son that I gained custody of after a messy breakup. i sacrificed all to have him near me. my back is messed up from carrying him on my back. My credit is shot from me not being able to work because I wanted for him what I didn't have... A Dad... In any case he no longer speaks to me and tells people that he hates me. Its been the toughest 2+ years of my life. I can only hope that there is a divine force that can feel my heart.I am happily married with a new baby but this emptiness I feel without my only son is real. can't shake it,run away from it, or deny it. anyway thanks for posting the lyrics and letting me vent.
