Kenny Loggins - I Would Do Anything Lyrics
Love, where are we going,
And when do we reach the promise on the horizon,
Out on the ocean, under a sunset,
I was invited to come out and play a while
Has anyone ever captured the sun,
Is the eagle ever truly tame,
Given just a little time,
I know that you'll find a way.
I would do anything for you,
Give up the world I've made me
And take you away,
I swear from now on,
The vision of you in my life
My love,
I will be faithful,
But how can I make a promise
To a place I've never been?
Something has taken me off,
And I don't know if I will survive.
I believe that everything
I'll ever need is here by the roadside.
How can you fly,
Keeping heaven in sight,
Blinded by the light of day?
Given just a little time,
I know that I'll find a way
I would do anything for you,
Listen with all of my spirit,
For ecstasy calling,
You know I believe,
Cause all I have seen,
From the mountain,
The view from the heart.
I would do anything for you,
Give up the world I've made me
And take you away,
I swear from here on,
The trust in my god,
The vision of you in my life
Freedom is mine,
One beat at a time,
Where are we going,
I just don't know yet,
How will we make it,
I just can't say,
All that I know is that we've finally sailed away.
Seems everyone's made a prison of love,
But if anybody can escape,
Given just a little time,
I know that we'll find a way.
I would do anything for you,
Listen with all of my spirit,
For ecstasy calling,
You know I believe,
Cause all I have seen,
From the mountain,
The view from the heart.
I would do anything for you,
Give up the world I've made me
And take you away,
I swear from here on,
The trust in my god,
The vision of you in my life
In my arms, I'll pray
I am safe, I am loved, I am free, baby
I am safe, I am loved, I am free, baby
I am safe, I am loved, I am free, baby
I am safe, I am loved, I am free, baby

Kenny Loggins I Would Do Anything Comments
Wow, that freaked me out. This was one of my favorite songs on the album, and I wondered how I missed "Sheryl Crow!"
While I agree that the duet vocal on Leap of Faith does not sound like Sheryl Crow, the album liner notes do indeed say that she did this song with Kenny Loggins on that album. Shanice did the duet on the Outside From the Redwoods CD and the DVD clearly shows Shanice doing the duet on that recording. In terms of LoF, we can debate the liner notes all day but it credits Sheryl Crow on that recording. It could have been a misprint but that's what the liner states.
It does'nt sound like sherly crow.1991 she was not known,
Fake news. Not Sheryl, its Shanice. Sheryl could have done it well, as well. Great song, written by Ken.
Shanice! (I Love Your Smile)...that's who is singing this with K Loggins...lord. This is not anything sounding like Sheryl. Makes me wonder if anyone can actually hear. Also, Where did you get a cd that says Sheryl Crow on it...its a phony
Dianne Lo I hear quite well, thank you! Do your research....This IS Cheryl Crow! I have the original cassette and later purchased the CD! Nothing phony about it. Shanice sung the LIVE VERSION of this song with him on his "Redwood" album.
Dianne Lo - this is indeed Sheryl Crow before she hit it big. All the Leap of Faith CDs say so, and if you had it, yours would too.
I love this song 💓💗💖
Lylian Francis I just heard this my first time. My boyfriend played his album for me. I didn't know Kenny Loggins was so soulful and romantic!
this was performed with Any Grant not Sheryl Crow
Sheryl Crow is given credit on the cd. Perhaps he performed it also with AG somewhere along the line.
Martin Spence Wrong! It was Cheryl Crow.
This song touched my heart. It came out right when I became a new mommy.... a single mommy, by choice. I sang it to my baby every day. This is Our Song. He is 24 yesterday. I sent this song to him via e-mail... a reminder today of who WE are to each other. My baby and me. "I am safe, I am loved... I am FREEEEEE baby.
Kenny Loggins will take you places you can't go other than on the wings of his lyrical and melodic mastery. The phrasing, the arrangement, the timing. If you're not moved by this, you're dead!
stands alone
Completely agree!
I forgot that Sheryl was the vocalist on this!
This entire CD is so beautiful and gentle and lovely.
Whenever you hear something as exquisite as this for the very first time, you're almost helpless to avoid the "chills" that great music can induce on the human spirit. Kenny Loggins has always been a fantastic vocalist, with a voice that meshes with similarly talented artists quite easily. He & Sheryl Crow truly did a great job with this. I haven't heard from either artist in some time.......this tune was definitely worth the wait.
Interesting! I usually prefer songs with a stronger 'hook' but the music is really nice and I love Sheryl's smooth voice on this.
