It was, back when bronies were soley based out of 4chan /b/. (2010-2013 or so)
Ever since then, it's become more and more corrupted by cringey basement-dwelling retards jumping on after seeing the fandom mentioned/misrepresented on Fox News.
Imagine an internet subculture era where some truly intelligent and astoundingly creative people all banded around a single, highly a-typical kid's product. Then all the "I fuck my own sister" inbred neckbeards hear about it, and say "What's this, it's okay for me to publicly say I am a sad lonely loser who likes feeling effeminate because the news can't be bothered to fact-check their shit and tell the actual story?"
And that's how the Brony fandom went from chads/badasses who atypically enjoyed a quality kids show, to snot-swallowing mouth breathers with neckbeards, B.O., and an utter lack of personal hygiene as well as self esteem who dragged said show down into mediocrity.

This is still one of my favorite songs and I do hope it stays up, MLP or not. I don't think good music should be frowned upon for the place it comes from; it should be judged on its own, separately, based off its own qualities, and if you ask me it's great, same with the others.
