Can somebody tell me what guitar he gave her? Was it some cheap epiphone with bolt on neck? If so im suprised that he could play live on it.
Yes, it is an Epiphone Les Paul Special 2 with a bolt on neck and the stop bar tailpiece. They are actually really good guitars, especially at that price point. I have one of the original ones when they first came out. I've put new tuning machines, a Tusq nut, and have actually changed the pickups. Plays great! I've put more money into it than it cost me in the late '90s, but it was one of my first electrics and I don't plan to get rid of it. A professional setup makes a big difference, too. I play live every week, and though it doesn't get played every week I don't have any issues with it now.
Okay, so he didn't give away his half million dollar Gold Top Gibson, but this was a lot of fun to watch and that girl isn't giving it up. I'd say it served its purpose.
@Betterifitsfree I know it's cool gift. I would be totally happy with it. It just supriced me that he could sound very good on let's say entry level guitar. But it might be upgraded
