Can anyone interpret this song what is it about ...

I dunno about an back story. From what I can tell it seems to describe a situation where someone is suffering from pretty severe depression while in a relationship. This has started to create a vicious cycle where the person has become dependent on there partner for any form of positive thought while their partners failures to notice what is truly going on is only causing the depression to get worse.
