Kamelot - Necropolis Lyrics
Sunshine
Swell life
Soak in another day
All that I need
Is a reason to go
Could fly away
We'd go up
And never come back down
From Heaven you know
Wake me
Revolve
In my wounds
Lay down your enemy
On the altar of refined deception
I'm all over you
Reset the harmony
Like a fire in the night
Pushing closer
East side silence
One last warning
West side
Let all be friends
Every nation
Thank you
For putting down your arms
This was the war
To end all wars
This was the war to save democracy
Wake me
Like nails in my spine
Let's play the tragedy
In the fire of
A last temptation
Hate me for wasting my time
On commonalities
In the name of self-respect
Don't wait too long
Don't harvest too late
May I wish you won't
Believe in your fate
Wake me
Revolve
In my wounds
Lay down your enemy
In the fire of a last temptation
Hate me for wasting my time
On commonalities
In this city of the dead

Aimiee LeMieux Aminotsyma Nice quote. 👌
First time listening to this song.... that ending scared the shit out of me... still love it though :)
It seems that i'm the only one that likes Poetry for the Poisoned the most. To me it is the best Kamelot album.
It's the first videoclip that actually scared me. Anyway, great song.
THIS is MUSIC!!!
{{{ }}}
This clip is a piece of art!!
What the frik is with that ending? I was listening to it for the first time with my eyes closed, enjoying the song, then it was ruined by those random screams. Screw that.
Great song, but why....why do bands feel the need to do stuff like that in their music videos? Sigh... :(
@3lit3gn0m3 Some songs are more than just music. Sometimes they matter to the heart and mind more than the ear.
+3lit3gn0m3 It depends on taste. I prefer the screams to the fadeout, since it adds atmosphere and is more unique. I assume they do it for the people who prefer it.
@Christianna Hursh
No kidding, but then again they don't do a poll before recording.
I enjoy their music, and everyone has their own tastes, but I still don't understand it. Do I need to? No, but it's unfortunate that I can't just leave the song on in the background without needing to stop it before that point.
@Christianna Hursh Good point.
wow dat shit scared me xD
Don't be frightened.
Shit, i cant watch is from my country :(
Holy jesus i jumped at the end.
coooooool
I hear Prodigial son in the intro riff here (Just after part 1)
Silverthorn is about two young boys accidentally killing their sister. Their lives are then destroyed as karma follows them, killing everyone they know and love. There's actually a short story that came with the Limited Edition CD, and it's one of the most depressing things I've ever read.
As much as I agree that Kamelot have been going dark since Karma, I also argue that this is the darkest they've been... And I like it.
awesome video i love it :)
very loud volume, get to 3:54; that really got my attention. shit
Great video! loved it lets have more like this!
Fuck it scarred me too :D ...... (night)
Sounds a lot like that part in Prodigial Son. (I know this came first before hate arrives)
Am I the only one that associates this song with a zombie apocalypse? With the whole 'city of the dead' part at the end and the chanting after that.
full volume headphones at night x.X
full volume headphones?
Holy crap it scared the hell out of me, too.
But... I...can't....thumb....up.... Damn it makes me feel so bad! Thic song is awesome!
OMG scared me too O.O >.<
Third place for me, Second The Great Pandemonium and very First Ghost Opera!
Well... I'm never going to sleep again.
It looks like Tool's Adam Jones designed this video. Hnnng
try Tarja ; crimson deep
lololol
Then you really did not get Silverthorn. It's about just as dark, yeah sure the melodies are happier, but the lyrics is pretty dark, that goes for about every Kamelot albums since Karma really.
Kamelot is awesome!
well fhis is eha natrule rule.
iconominmol.i would'nt geek people lol
i didn´t know this! Thx for the info :D
Think this is way i much prefer Silverthorn. I don´t like these dark and sad lyrics =/
This video is creepy as hell and it scared me. I can't even imagine what happend after 3:54
Damn that was intense. You can feel the song crawling into you, Kahns words making you feel the anxiety gripping your soul. The ending, hitting the break point and then falling silent with a gunshot and the hollow echo of a single bullet casing falling on the ground...absolutely haunting.
**Listening to music on one tab while surfing the web on the other**
3:54 happens.
AHTRIEWOPAGHEAIOGHEWAOPGI;WEA!
i was just hearing the music, using a headset, on the backround while reading some stuff..
tought there was an accident or something nearby lol freaked the hell out of me!!!
I love almost everything Kamelot has done. Roy Kahns voice is awsome and this album is a very nice change. But I miss their original vocalist. He was awsome too. OHHHHH black towaah what is your powaaaah what make me run and hiiiiide!
3:54 scared me!!!
It's like a cinematic force but in a music video. Everything in a horror movie I love. Kamelot never gets old
Yes, feels like such an horror movie!
"The Calling", "The Scream" and "Saw".
Just great!
you do know why the album is so dark right it was because roy was going through anxiety and depression issues this is also what caused him to leave kamelot
amazing video that tells a story, classic :-)
Not to offend anyone..but I can't say I like this video. I love Kamelot. I've been listening to them for ages and love all their other vids. Love you to death being my favorite just for the sadness it gives you and the depth of the song is perfect for it.. Don't get me wrong. I love this song.. But the video to me..1. is unorganized it just seems just plain messy. 2. Its has no level of elegance that they usually have. 3. I feel like I'm watching a death metal/generic metal vid.
This song isn't with a new singer. It's from the Poetry For The Poisoned album. 0_o
Yeah. Because a J-Biebs fan would totally think /this/ was a great direction for Kamelot.
I am sorry but you are both morons.
Sick song though. =)
I will admit it is a great song, but it doesnt sound like kamelot. I listen to their old songs and thats the kamelot I fell in love with. This song, while it isnt bad, isnt what it used to. And it isnt all about the new singer either. its the sound of the song itself that seems off.
Awesome...but what does it mean?
Well this is a really great music video that really makes you think and...
/gets to end of video. Nightmare fuels strikes with little warning.
...Well that's alright, I didn't need to sleep any way.
i love the quote that they use at the begining
" death is only the begining of inmortality" Maximillen Robespierre
Every one and his taste I guess :) but in my opinion this was they're least good album, it was really dark not like they're earlier albums, you should listen to the fourth legacy, karma and epica and well pretty much all of their albums
never liked anything by this band but this song is good stuff about time ! keep it up
OMG was listening to this on my headphones playing a game at 5 am blasting it full volume then the end ... Jesus christ SCARED the fuck out of me !!!
Awesome video :D
I was doing some work, not paying any attention to the music, then CRASH!!! The end of the song nearly gave me a heart attack.
:x why did you disable likes for this video? :X I wanted to thumbs up it..
@TheMrFedoraman They don't have a new vocalist yet, do they ?
@eddso9 Is he, now? Well that'll be interesting to hear... so sad that he left... at least he was able to take the initiative to do what he know was best for him, even though he knew it would dissapoint people.
Who were those kids supposed to be?
This is really fantastic!
@Crawletas i Agree O.o kinda made me jump heh i have heard the song before so that threw me off XD
fuck, at the end i pissed myself ! didnt expected that, NICE VIDEO!
I'm not real pleased with the videos from this album. Love these songs, but I just really don't like the vids...:/
excellent video for a very good song
@Androslop This album was made before Roy left, it's still him singing the song.
@JNMGibbs Agreed
Sorry for my ignorance. If Roy Khan doesn't sing anymore in Kamelot, who is the singer in this song?
Thank you in advance.
Cool videoclip. But actually I didn't expect the end, I was quite shocked, psycho sounds at the end. Epic
Why can't I like the video so that I can show the world its epicness?
Welcome to Necropolis, Baby! ................... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaahhhh AaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH (Y)
Highly confused... I guess not having a lead singer means the actual band won't be in the video but hey i still liked it =) different from what they usually do (which is always amazing) but still great
whoa....
Looks and sounds and feels so Queensrychish, in a good way of course :)
nice girl
Genuiney scared, especially after the end. Not sure what to think...
I really enjoyed the video, msut have to review later but very good for a metal video.
I knew this music a bit badly, have to reheard all the album
Best music video I've seen in a while to be honest.
Terrible video
Amazing!!!!!!!!
6,666th viewer :)
Love it!!!!!! Always Kamelot is perfect!! Hope You come back to Colombia Soon!
Yeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh \m/
Sick-ass video, lol the sudden ending scared me xP
Psycho Mantis: Origins.
@dermetallgott who are you to say what Kamelot is about, who better that the BAND is better to answer that question, We only have OPINIONS of a BAND but the last word always is for the BAND
I think it is one of their darkest video ever, and most thought-provoking. This said, excellent song and video! ;=)
For my part, I think that the members were inspired by stories which are about trying to make humans mindless slaves /their brains, minds conditioned, controlled/. Plus, these books are also about the effects of the horrors of society and b...rain wash on the human mind. Stories which show us a possible negative future, which hopefully will not come true /dystopia/. I' m referring to books like 1984 by George Orwell, and A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess.
OMG, the scenes with the camera-eye are taken from Deus Ex: Human Revolution :O
I don't think this video represents what Kamelot is about....
Love the video and the song!
I want to play a game...
i watched this 311 time already n i still cant get over it... :D
Amazing ending. Loved it.
That was definitely the best music video I have seen for a long time! I really had to watch it several times... ;o
Wow...!!! At the beginning I thought I don't like it, but after that... it's a really interesting video. And I am agree it's a video you have to watch more then once... Good work!!!
