First time listening to this song.... that ending scared the shit out of me... still love it though :)

It seems that i'm the only one that likes Poetry for the Poisoned the most. To me it is the best Kamelot album.

It's the first videoclip that actually scared me. Anyway, great song.

What the frik is with that ending? I was listening to it for the first time with my eyes closed, enjoying the song, then it was ruined by those random screams. Screw that.

+3lit3gn0m3 It depends on taste. I prefer the screams to the fadeout, since it adds atmosphere and is more unique. I assume they do it for the people who prefer it.

I enjoy their music, and everyone has their own tastes, but I still don't understand it. Do I need to? No, but it's unfortunate that I can't just leave the song on in the background without needing to stop it before that point.

Silverthorn is about two young boys accidentally killing their sister. Their lives are then destroyed as karma follows them, killing everyone they know and love. There's actually a short story that came with the Limited Edition CD, and it's one of the most depressing things I've ever read.

As much as I agree that Kamelot have been going dark since Karma, I also argue that this is the darkest they've been... And I like it.

Then you really did not get Silverthorn. It's about just as dark, yeah sure the melodies are happier, but the lyrics is pretty dark, that goes for about every Kamelot albums since Karma really.

Damn that was intense. You can feel the song crawling into you, Kahns words making you feel the anxiety gripping your soul. The ending, hitting the break point and then falling silent with a gunshot and the hollow echo of a single bullet casing falling on the ground...absolutely haunting.

I love almost everything Kamelot has done. Roy Kahns voice is awsome and this album is a very nice change. But I miss their original vocalist. He was awsome too. OHHHHH black towaah what is your powaaaah what make me run and hiiiiide!

you do know why the album is so dark right it was because roy was going through anxiety and depression issues this is also what caused him to leave kamelot

Not to offend anyone..but I can't say I like this video. I love Kamelot. I've been listening to them for ages and love all their other vids. Love you to death being my favorite just for the sadness it gives you and the depth of the song is perfect for it.. Don't get me wrong. I love this song.. But the video to me..1. is unorganized it just seems just plain messy. 2. Its has no level of elegance that they usually have. 3. I feel like I'm watching a death metal/generic metal vid.

I will admit it is a great song, but it doesnt sound like kamelot. I listen to their old songs and thats the kamelot I fell in love with. This song, while it isnt bad, isnt what it used to. And it isnt all about the new singer either. its the sound of the song itself that seems off.

Every one and his taste I guess :) but in my opinion this was they're least good album, it was really dark not like they're earlier albums, you should listen to the fourth legacy, karma and epica and well pretty much all of their albums

I think it is one of their darkest video ever, and most thought-provoking. This said, excellent song and video! ;=)

For my part, I think that the members were inspired by stories which are about trying to make humans mindless slaves /their brains, minds conditioned, controlled/. Plus, these books are also about the effects of the horrors of society and b...rain wash on the human mind. Stories which show us a possible negative future, which hopefully will not come true /dystopia/. I' m referring to books like 1984 by George Orwell, and A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess.
