My girlfriend makes me listen to this song over and over in the and based off the title I expected a track about being ruthlessly teased by a person with an intellectual disability which also took a considerable amount of time to spit out but instead Ive been forced to endure and eventually tolerate a lovely and endearing country pop ballad which I maybe even slightly enjoy a little more with every forced listen. Consider me a captive audience developing Stockholm syndrome. Keep it up!

This is a very powerful song musically and lyrically. It is in a different league than most contemporary country music. I heard it for the first time on a college radio free form show, of all places. My inital impression was that it was Sarah Jarosz or Sierra Hull, who are outside the country mainstream. It uses a very non-traditional chord progression for country music. It may still be possible for Top 40 country music to redeem itself.
