the all time heavy metal album in rock's history, imo. this album was the bridge to metallica, anthrax, slayer, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. the drummer on this record, badass. and Halford sounds like he's singing from atop a mountain. unreal.

JP don't get credit for their diversity imo. This album and killing machine came out in the same year, both classic,yet both so different. Wonder if the lyrics were inspired by Fox's book of martyrs. Googled the lyrics 'mon Dieu, quelle horreur' means my God, that's horrible. This song is up there with black sabbath in terms of imagining some unimaginable horror.
