Mr Ames' rendition was good but Josh Groban's version is hauntingly beautiful and sounds much better with his voice range than Ed Ames' deeper vocals.

I remember my sister Karen singing and playing this song to me on her guitar when I was a child. My birthday was September 1st, so of course I thought she picked this song just for me. It was my favorite song she ever sang to me. However, I cannot discredit "The Our Father", "Dominique", "The Cruel War", Bridge Over Troubled Waters, or any other fantasic hits of the 60's and 70's that she sang to me :)
