Feel your pain, I'm a Texan in Boston. Don't know what part of the east coast you're at, but Josh is gonna be in Boston on 1/27. Aaron Watson on 1/21, too. If they're coming here, I'm sure they're probably hitting a couple other cities in the region too. I saw Stoney and Randy Rogers out here last winter. It doesn't happen often, but the Red Dirt boys do get out here from time to time.

Honestly such a sentimental song for me...The first time I heard this my dad played it in his truck for me...It brought my dad to tears...Every single time he litsens to it he cries and my dad is not a man to show emotion...ever! My parents are having a rough time and this song is just too much for my dad! It showed me just what kind of a man my dad was and how much he loves my mother...Although they've been living apart for 4 months now. Such a gorgeous song!

I agree with you. His new stuff is breaking the barrier of mainstream....but this album wasn't meant to be a "Texas" album so to speak. This album was something that Josh himself needed to do so that he could get some things off his chest. As for Freedom1645, don't be too harsh. Abbott hasn't been playing this type of music "for a long ass time". She's Like Texas album....Small Town Family Dream album.....that's definitely some good country tunes that have absolutely no mainstream riffs in them. This album does break that barrier....but like I said, this album is on a personal level....not so much on a Texas level. It needed to be done. Nonetheless....I am enjoying the album so far and I have no doubt in my mind that the "old" style will return on future albums....this album just needed to be a bit different for his own personal reasons.
