Joseph, Tyler - Going Down Lyrics
Down, we're going down, we're going down
It takes a sound
To break them down
Have you ever heard the outside calling?
Have you ever tasted a ray of sun and have you ever held the moon's glow?
Why do I feel scared in the morning?
The sun's up and everybody's moving on
Maybe we all feel alone even though we have our telephones
We destroy a part of us every time we blink an eye
And now it's time for all of us to know that we're going down
We're going down
We're going down
To break them down
Reality, conformity, still this fake faith and forgery
All seem to be a major key to rhyme the day the day will seem to be
A melting dream that we once had but now the dream is weak
But now that we all see that we have fallen down
We just might be alive and even though there's boundaries
And why are you proud of me
So we live and we die
Fall to the fly, fly to the free
Free cause I know I've seen the end of me
So we need, need to know that we are blowing down to seize
Our grounds and everybody here will sing a sound
We once were lost but now we're found
We destroy a part of us every time we blink an eye
And now it's time for all of us to know that we're going down (down...)
Have you ever tasted a ray of sun and have you ever held the moon's glow?
Why do I feel scared in the morning?
The sun's up and everybody's moving on
We're going down
We're going down
We're going down
We're going down
It takes a sound
To break them down
We're going down
We're going down
It takes a sound
To break them down
Have you ever heard the outside calling?
Have you ever heard the tree's singing their song?
Have you ever tasted the ray of sun and have you ever held the moon's glow?

I didn't realize until it became really obvious that the chords were based off pachelbel's canon
Why am I just now hearing this? Is this a weird fever dream? I thought I’d heart all of no phun?
God damn ToP's got so many amazing quotes
We aren't going down, we're heading E A S T
Anyone else think of thnks fr th mmrs
HOW HAVE I NEVER HEARD THIS UNTIL NOW
Is it Pachelbel's canon what i hear???
I love Tyler’s voice it has such a different sound from what I’ve heard before and he always changes it up at shows and literally it changes the sound of the entire song
Is it just me, but were the rap sections just better written in his older songs? Don't get me wrong, this newer ones are amazing, but his older ones are just crazy
sugar we're goin down
The most beautiful voice in the world. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love you more than my Life. Tyler is the best emotion i've ever felt!!! Ti amo tantissimo anche se mai ti conoscerò 😘
The amount of people who thought this was a new song or a leak make me sad :( go listen to no Phun intended right now
Can't believe this video is one year old ||-//
....we’re going down, down, down in an earlier round....
Could this be chords/words from no phun intended?
no Tyler said that words is about 30 seconds long
I’m sitting hear, close to tears, listening to this masterpiece for like the hundredth time... why you gotta do this to me Tyler?😭😍
This kind of reminds me of Pahelbel's Cannon .
Who's listening in 1680?
where do u ppl find these files do yall hack into tyler's computer or something?
How have i just heard this song now what?
the third picture shows twenty one figures hmm!!
fine i’ll say it: we’re going down in an earlier round
You can really hear his Christian side in this album...
This should be a graduation song. Wish I would have had it instead of Life is a highway lol
one story for over a decade
PUT THIS ON APPLE MUSIC NOW
Am i the only one who thinks this song should be on Trench?
Why have i never heard
beautiful
Where'd you find this, omg thank you so much! I love your channel by the way.
Thus the only good song on npi
I respect your opinion, but I think they're all good :)
"we once were lost but now we're found" a line from amazing grace which is kinda technically a religious song
@SomeKindaTalkingDog The self-titled had a fair bit of religion in there. Addict with a pen, for example.
@Voided If Broken Some of Vessel was religious
"Screen."
@Ayano Aishi overall a lot of tyler's songs are religious/have religious references in them- his whole music career was started and still bases off of his struggling religious beliefs and mental health
@SomeKindaTalkingDog True, and especially clear.
@Ayano Aishi ya a lot of rab songs have religious backgrounds too
there is a line in "never change" that Says something like" you're going down" and the piano kinds sound similar so maybe this was like a back bone song for other songs bc it also had that line from ode to sleep maybe not tho...
We’re going dunnnnnn
Or you could just go East, i heard it's up this time of year
This is so nice
This is a good song, he should definitely make an album with just a bunch of unreleased songs
♡♡♡
Why is this so freaking jazzy/jammy I jam harddddd to this
And we destroy a part of us every time we blink an eye
Nobody dreams when they blink
swinging?
Haha yes
why does this sound like it was made between the vessel or blurryface era like it sounds nothing like tyler's other solo tracks from NPI. Anyone else notice that?
I wish this was released with one of their albums so I could find it easier. I am so addicted to this😅
I thought this song wasn't old lol
why does this song sound newer then the others of no phun intended HMMMMM I WOUNDER
could this have been chords/words?
east: Is UP now
west: we're going down guys
upload lagi doong..with lyric :)
sounds like canon in d
i remember watching this the day it was uploaded and everyone was speculating that this would be on the new album. i remember people talking about how much they missed twenty one pilots and we were always searching conspiracy theories about when they'll come back. i love that they're back but hiatus days was something else.
Going Down: Have you ever heard the trees singing their song
Trees: Silence in the trees and that's where I am
"I will fear the night again" Truce
"Why do I feel scared in the morning" Going Down
Eat soggy waffles never
Good advice 🤓
This is heavenly with headphones especially when he goes "doooooooown" for so long
tuyul mandi lol nama bagus
If u really think about it, it does sound like the current Tyler if he makes his voice raw.
Who dislike this song is a STUPID person. I love unconditionally Tyler more than my life. 💓
Why have I never heard this
posted on my bday 👀👌
The background melody (most prominent in the beginning and end, but you can hear it throughout) sounds like the chords for Pachelbel's Canon in D
8 months ago? Ahhhh
Where going down East is up
There is something about compass
These are probs some clues
Going down-
Have you ever heard the trees singing their song?
Trees-
Why won't you speak? where I happen to be, silent in the trees, standing cowardly
Possible connection??
This song is really nice all of twenty one pilots songs are good but his discontinued songs are better
We're going down down in a earlier round sugar we goin swinging oops wrong song..
Yo bros...not only is pachelbel's canon at 3:20, it can be heard earlier at 2:40 and the entire melody of the song seems based on it. And since y'alls cant figure out when the hell this song is from/when it was recorded/why it was randomly "leaked" I tried to figure it out. Started researching pachelbel's canon. First wiki page says "neither the date nor the circumstances of its composition are known." We aren't meant to figure this out guys! Tyler pulled a pachelbel!!!
Oh my heckin heck
What's a pachelbel
Pachelbel was a composer. One of his most famous works is his "Canon" also known as "Pachelbel's Canon" or "Canon in D". Its a very popular wedding song, often used in movie / TV show wedding scenes and obviously real weddings. But the circumstances of when he composed this piece are widely unknown. It was popularized long after his death
@Kayla Kaczowski oh cool. So I'm a way, kind of like Edward Greig. Coolio thanks
but i know that i’m going low
am a ban, am a ban diiiiito
What if this song is really about dema?
“We’re going down” and “I could take the high road, but I know that I’m going low”
“It takes a sound to break them down” and phrases such as “east is up” and “sahlo folina” and them referring to the bishops.
“Have you ever heard the outside calling? Have you ever heard the trees singing there song? Have you ever tasted a ray of sun and have you ever held a moons glow?” In dema they haven’t because they’re trapped.
“The suns up and everybody’s moving on” The people in dema just continue on with their lives.
“We destroy a part of us every time we blink an eye” is obviously referencing the hiatus.
Who dislikes a song so beautiful?
(Sugar) We’re Going Down
The day after this was uploaded we got jumpsuit and natn
im sorry but if don't know that this is from no phun intended are you really a fan
I'm gonna cry
WTF WHY HAVE I NEVER HEARD THIS BEFORE IM GONNA CRY
I think that .. it was released before, ok but it doesn't change THE FACT THAT TYLER WRITE ALL THE LYRIC OF ALL THE SONGS! HIS THOUGHTS HAVE TO BE CONNECTED SOMEHOW! I think that he knew something was up with his mind.. but only with the last 2 albums he was able to give a character/ name/ face/ place of what he had in his mind all along..
I hope I make sense..
i could take the hight road but i know that i'm going low
All the song refers to the Canon of Pachelbel.
West is down.
North is left.
@Nova/Animations fancy seeing you here :D
Holy cow i just realize that i already see the video like 100 times
This sounds to me kinda like a mix of oasis and mcr 😅🤷♀️
Thanks for recommending this <3
Love T.O.P💗💗💗
my friend (she needs help) said that tyler sounds mexican
what if this is chords/words
That was my first thought. I'm gonna look into the few clips we have a chords/words and see if this may be one.
This song feels like it was revealed so long ago. Time is too fast.
yess!! i am so shocked that it was only 7 months ago?! boy time flies
I know this is supposed to be on no phun intended, but I’ve never seen before October
down, we going down (and sugar we going down swinging)
west is down
Eat soggy waffles never
It has that strong pseudo 2008 pop-ballad vibe
