i believe he was struggling with his faith at this point (he is a Christian), and the line that says “i’m calling my father/am i screaming to an empty sky?” references God, whom most Christians reference to as ‘father’. the line that says “i want to be alive/when you see my eyes/can i see your eyes?” is his last hope for God to show Himself to Tyler. finally, in the line “let the water wash away/everything that you’ve become”, he is talking to himself and probably referencing the holy, consecrated water mentioned in the Bible multiple times which was often used before Jesus was born to wash away someone’s sin after they’ve made the necessary sacrifice.

But I don't want to be here, most people say that suicidal people don't want die they just want the pain to go away but that isn't the case for me I *want* to die. Tyler is by himself, it's probably night time and he doesn't know what to do. He could give in to his thoughts or he could try to be good. This is probably where the idea of blurryface starts to come in. He is trying to separate these two parts of himself and he doesn't know how and he starts crying and he's afraid. He starts overthinking and his problems get bigger and bigger, he feels overwhelmed.

This is all happening at night, in a simple place. That would be his room. My guess is that he's just kind of laying there staring at his ceiling which might coincide with the self titled cover.

This might be him thinking out loud about how the war inside his head is still going on and he's been trying to beat it, but yet another day has passed and nothing has changed. He's falling into the same cycles and patterns and he doesn't want it to be this way, it's just kind of happening.

He doesn't want to be afraid, he wants to trust his relationship with God, but he just keeps getting pulled back down by his demons. He uses water here as an analogy for suffering and falling away. Falling away could either be him falling away from God or his family or it could be another metaphor for his feelings. His hearts getting harder, so that's taking about how hes literally been screaming at God asking why he's going through what he's going through and he just feels like he's screaming at an empty sky. He feels abandoned by God.

Now he's taking his doubt in God back hes saying, the empty sky I was questioning? (essentially the absence of God) It's just me. It's not God that's the problem, because he knows that God is kind and loving and just. One half of his heart is free, so that's the good emotions like happiness and laughter and joy, the other half that's asleep is representing the darker stuff and the sadness and harmful things.

This could either reference his church and the songs they sing. the worship might feel fake and he feels guilty about not engaging in the service, or it could be his own songs that he's writing. He might look at it as using his songs as an excuse for not paying attention to God, something to distract him. Blasphemy is just for me, this is probably him feeling like he's the only one whos doubted God. He feels alone and like a bad person for feeling how he does about God. Hypocrite, take your pick... my guess is that's refering to the blasphemy, he's talking about how he's a hypocrite. He does the religious thing, but he doesn't feel like he's really with God like he should be. This section is really about greed.
