Johnny Mathis - When The Lovin' Goes Out Of The Lovin' Lyrics

When the lovin' goes out of the lovin'
And there isn't a thing you can do
But reminisce of yesterdays
Second guess her changin' ways
And fill your time with people just like you

When the lovin's gone out of the lovin'
And there isn't a thing you can say
You bite your tongue and wonder why
And then you watch your life flash by
Hopin' things will turn around your way

There isn't a lovin' thing I can say
There isn't a lovin' thing I can do
There isn't a lovin' way I can ever reach you
How can I walk away and feel free
When lovin' you means my whole life to me?
There isn't a lovin' way I can ever leave you and be free

When the lovin' goes out of the lovin'
And there's no easy way to pretend
That anythin' could ever be
As good a thing as you and me
It's hard to understand this is the end

There isn't a lovin' thing I can say
There isn't a lovin' thing I can do
There isn't a lovin' way I can ever reach you
How could I walk away and feel free
When lovin' you means my whole life to me?
There isn't a lovin' way I can ever leave you

There isn't a lovin' thing I can say
There isn't a lovin' thing I can do
There isn't a lovin' way I can ever reach you
How can I walk away and feel free
When lovin' you means my whole life to me?
There isn't a lovin' way I could ever leave you and feel free

When the lovin' goes out of the lovin'

I agree there is no way if you really love them that you could ever leave them it would be to hard and difficult to see that beautiful love walk away from you work it out

why even waste your words on people that don't like this, they are not educated musically.

@lenoremewton My son will probably be able to tell me what I need to know. I am just happy to be able to listen to the large variety of songs by JM and some of my other favorite artists. Yes, Amazon has many JM songs, new and old. Thanks again for the info.

@luvmusic581 - I'm not that knowledgeable about the equipment- but i do know turntables and record players are back in fashion. I believe you can also purchase a turntable that plugs into your computer via USB port. Transferring them from vinyl to mp3 is a skill that some people have- takes specific equipment as well. That said- there are hundreds of Johnny mp3s on Amazon and elsewhere- I can look and will . enjoy!

  16. l.... ....

@lenoremewton No, at I don't have a turntable. I'm thinking about buying a Crosley turntable that plays and records 78's 33-1/3 and 45's. I did not know vinyl is available and have not seen in in stores here. I have no idea how to transfer songs into mp3's. I have been told you can download them from the internet onto mp3's. Is that correct?

  17. l.... ....

@luvmusic581 - i'm so glad you were able to find it-! Do you have a turntable? Vinyl has come back in style- all the 'kids' (my sons) love them- the sound is much better- so i understand. You're welcome. Are you able to transfer any of these songs into mp3s? Enjoy:)

  18. l.... ....

@lenoremewton Thanks, Lenore, for songs by Johnny I have not heard before. I was able to purchase the original vinyl album online which contains "Never Let Me Go". It arrived today and is in very good condition. Thanks again. Your input helped me find it

@FromBrooklynToLA - Thanks, wuman:) I'd not heard the song before discovering it on this CD either- but Johnny always brings his own style- often slowing a song down - it's all for specific reasons- just like your fav. You're on- the last shot is in the late 70s- its' from a show JM did in France- several nice videos from it which people have put up. They might have another name- i call them 'sideburns' LOL. The very hairy ones were called "Mutton Chops"- not these:) Thanks for lovely comment!

  30. l.... ....

@mathismagic37 Oh, thanks- so glad you liked it! Yes that last photo is perfection- a very sweet, endearing shot. And that voice. "like no one in the world". Enjoy,!x

@beweau -Thank you:) This is an album I was not that familiar with- it found it's way into my iPod - so it was meant to be that i hear it. I love the song as well- the delivery-Johnny's voice- is everything. You're welcome- enjoy

  32. b.... ....

Everything here is beautiful. The music, the lyrics, the man and the way the man sings it. I love this album. You found such perfect photos of him. Thank you.

This is a wonderful song and, Lenore, I have to say, I forgot I was watching images of Johnny. It was like watching a video. You captured his face so wonderfully with every lyrical line. Thanks for sharing.
