Johnny Mathis - Something To Sing About Lyrics

Sing
I'm gonna sing about
All about your love
Sing
I'm gonna tell 'em
All about your love

Do you have a love that makes you sing now
(do you) want to share the feeling that it brings you
(do you do you) want her to know and may I ask why
(do you) hold it in

Come on and sing
I'm gonna sing about
All about your love
Sing
I'm gonna tell 'em
All about your love

I hope you realise how lucky you are and
(do you) understand you've missed the things so far
(do you do you) keep falling deeper in love with her
(do you) want her to know.

Come on let's sing
I'm gonna sing about
All about your love
Sing
I'm gonna tell 'em
All about your love

Do you have
Our love
That you sing
I sing about
Because
Aw yeah
Sing
Yes sing
Together
Yes sing
Together

Mr. Mathis can sing all kinds of music. What a great singer with a great voice!!! I am a big fan who has most of his albums!

I will sing about the love l have for Mathis music which youth today need to be aware of his greatness, but of course they won't because the youth minds are being programed by the TV and radio stations that promote unworthy music.

Strange that Sony thought this album wouldn't sell and they decided to shelf it and release another greatest hits compilation instead. This album would have sold to a younger generation. Wrong move for the Sony executives. If released, I Love My Lady would have piqued the interests of Chic fans as it did with Sheila, Debbie Harry, and of course Diana Ross which all experienced big sales.

Chic were very popular so I don't know why they thought this wouldn't be successful.

@Andy JS they felt it was too much of a contrast to Mathis fans expectations and got cold feet. Typical unimaginative record company execs!

    Don't forget Sister Sledge.

    Great tune here

Johnny, chic, and Luther Vandross background.. awesome

    j.... ....

The male voice in the background is Fonzi Thornton.

    j.... ....

Luther was firmly into his own solo career and no longer singing on CHIC projects.

    Soooooo good! 💖

  7. C.... ....

Good song. That groove during the verses second to none. So imaginative. Classic Chic sound

  8. D.... ....

I wish this album was released with the rest of the 1980 Chic sessions.

  9. S.... ....

How this wasn't released from the start is beyond me........ great music!

    S.... ....

Ay Jy You think your slick but your just showing yourself up as a total JERK Typical. Why do white people find it so hard to accept the TRUTH. Which record label is going to say “WE SHELVED THE ALBUM BECAUSE WE’RE RACIST”. So PROFESSOR EINSTEIN why do you think they would not release this album?

    S.... ....

True, but @Viv Lara I think the only answer you 'll accept is the one you're yelling at random people on the internet IN ALL CAPS. I'm sorry music makes you so angry.

    S.... ....

@Viv Lara Racism didn't stop Chic's music from being released.

    S.... ....

Andy JS AND WHAT EXACTLY IS YOUR POINT.This is about JOHNNY MATHIS’s audience not CHIC’s. Are you that stupid.

    S.... ....

Ay Jy music doesn’t make angry. People like you make me ANGRY. With your NAIVE BULLSHIT.

  13. F.... ....

Johnny Mathis funky side at his best with CHIC !

  14. C.... ....

Finally the entire CHIC produced Mathis album has been released...And with official cover art to boot (dunno if this is cover is the one that was supposed to grace the album back in '81 though???). Speaking for chictribute.com, it is almost ten years since we started to uncover this brilliant "Lost" album. Hopefully we will see a stand alone vinyl release of this in the near future. Here's chictribute.com's Mathis page, with the uncovering story in short notes if you scroll down: http://chictribute.com/disco/chic/mathis.html

Real nice beat. Johnny can sing any genre of music.. It's what he does. And a master at it. It's his gift from God. I've really started listening to him since the late 70s. I heard him sing title songs to a couple of movies as a child. A Certain Smile.. And The Best of Everything.
