Joey of Joey and Rory passed away of Cancer. l remember the time with my daughter Joey and Rory at park city TV and at the music cafe in park city. l would like to reach Joey now. l know she is singing I'm heaven. l know we must reach the people we love before they pass on. we all have a story and we must listen to each other and show love and compassion. Joey still has a story because her smile would light up a room and she had love. follow her story online. l think this a beautiful piece of music l thought of Joey when l listened to it. Johnny Mathis we love you so much.

Johnny Mathis is pure class.l love how he has no cheesy background singers, knows how to dress professional, hardly any flashy jewelry. l love the professional orchestras that back him. Johnny Mathis is unique, special and interesting like no other today.

What nonsense. If you ever heard Marilyn sing this live you'd know how inane that comment is. McCoo's version of this - the original version - is one of the ten greatest recordings of a ballad from the entire rock era. Hers is a brilliant performance - the definitive performance.

Some lovely photos there of Johnny, Lenore, I particularly like the one that looks like an album sleeve that says 'Johnny Mathis Wonderful'. I have an LP of his called 'Wonder Wonderful' but it has a completely different cover. I would love a copy of this photograph.

the last note just kills...the way he begins soft, and just puts more and more "burn" on it! 2:44 onward!

I've always loved Marilyn McCoo singing this, but never heard Johnny Mathis singing it. My mother, Rita, looooved Mathis, and hearing him always makes me think of her. He has a spiritual voice like no other. Thank you so much for sharing this.

This was one of his best albums. I do not know what is wrong with these record companies--They should have released this on CD by now!

Jerry Fuller also wrote "Hurry Mother Nature" and "Show And Tell", two of my favorite Johnny Mathis songs. Jerry Fuller and Johnny Mathis, two huge talents.

Producers do make a difference. Didn't know Jerry Fuller was his producer- i know he composed- and Johnny sang at least one of those songs "She Loves Me" (which is an upload on YT live). Thanks for sharing- Johnny's 70's music is exceptional- every era- has it's gifts.

A big "thank you' to his producer, Jerry Fuller, for guiding Mr. Mathis through some exceptional music in the the early 70's.

Very nice to hear that Melinda. I wrote ''If I Could Reach You'' for The 5th Dimension and worked with them personally on the project. Later that year I was taking a drive out on a country road north of LA with the radio on when I heard these beautiful violins playing my melody. I won't even try to describe how I felt when Johnny sang the first few lines of my song. Thanks for bringing back a beautiful memory, Randy

Thank you so much for posting this version by Johnny!!!!! I absolutely love it! I stumbled onto it one day and have been listening to it over and over again ever since. I loved it so much, I looked everywhere to find it on CD but couldn't get it. So I ended up finding the Album Me and Mrs. Jones and bought it! It wasn't cheap and I have to dig out an old record player. But I just had to own this version of the song I am so in love with it. Again. thank you :-}

I would buy every Johnny Mathis record that was ever made If they were put out on cds. Thank goodness my friend got me a record player that you can record the records onto a cd.. Now I can listen to the 50 albums I have of Johnny, on cds now..Oh, the music is simply the best in the world..Johnny's voice..how can one ever get tired of Johnny Mathis singing?
