My first ever concert was to see Johnny Mathis when I was only 16. Have loved his voice ever since knowing how high my standards were for any future shows I have seen over decades. Had met him briefly after shows in Vancouver as he walked past after a show; then in London, England when I worked there as a nurse and he performed at the Palladium. Saw him again in the 1980's at Vancouver's Orpheum but didn't meet him then. But in 2009, he performed in a smaller venue east of Vancouver and I was so fortunate to be admitted to the backstage 'meet and greet.' Had a chat with him for about 15 minutes and now since the venue take photos at the after show gatherings, I have a photograph of myself with him. It sits on my desk framed and I look at it knowing how his music has followed me through my lifetime (so far) since I was 16. I'd never have believed then I'd have this treasured photograph. He'll sing for the audiences as long as he can, i have no doubt. The happiness he's brought to millions can not ever be underestimated. He is dearly loved by fans and that definitely includes me.

Crazy is not a song of Johnny lima?

When he's "on" he's sensational; when he's "off," which isn't often, he's awful. I once had an album released by some record company that he'd just left after a dispute... and most of the songs had flaw... when he went flat, etc. unless it was the record company that deliberately screwed with the recordings. I don't think they did, because I've heard him go flat at other times.
So Johnny is a terrific artist who, like all of us, has good times and not-so-good times. Wonderful. Wonderful

Me too, it's really a new world. It's only when I listened to Misty again when I started to appreciate the different vocal qualities of singers. It's something I never cared about before until I learned Johnny Mathis' voice is my favorite.

I just came across a beautiful song of Johnny, I didn't know he had a version of THE MORNING SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN, it was one of my early favorites when I was young. I can't remember who sang that.  The beautiful lady in the video is Jill, who had watched Johnny and listened to his songs since she was a young 5 years old.  She turned out to be a beautiful young lady. I just don't know if she is in show business or not, does anybody know?
