Johnny Mathis - Count Your Blessings (Instead Of Sheep) Lyrics
When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
Just count your blessings instead of sheep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings
I think about a nursery and I picture curly heads
And one by one I count them as they slumber in their beds
If you're worried and you can't sleep
And you'll fall asleep counting your blessings

Johnny Mathis Count Your Blessings (Instead Of Sheep) Comments
Thank You for the beautiful music. Johnny Mathis is my favorite.
Love you John ❤️ Mathis, you are a musical hero to me and l have been to numerous musical events in my lifetime. There is no one quite like you.
Hard to beat Irving Berlin? Johnny brings a lot of depth to the piece that Bing Crosby did much justice to as well. There no short supply of excellence in vocalists, but Johnny really shows what he is capable of here. Masterful use of piano and cello as well. Lump in my throat? U-huh.
How true. We forget, particularly when times are difficult, to “Count our Blessings instead of Counting Sheep”! A great rendition, “Johnny Mathis. You perform with such passion for the music.
I saw Johnny perform at the Golden Nugget in Atlantic City in March 2016. He's over 80. He performs with a full orchestra. The arrangements are great. On over half his hits, he sounds BETTER than ever. He's said in interviews that he practices and goes to vocal coaches, even now when he's old, and that if he doesn't believe he can give his best, he'll reschedule his shows. I believe him.
If you're able to see him perform in person -- GO. Don't even think about it. It will be one of the best performances you'll ever see in your life.
