Another one of my favorite John Denver songs. He had the most beautiful background music ever as well as being the greatest guitar player to ever pick up the instrument.

His orchestration was superb!!!

This takes me back to my childhood, driving through country lanes in the south and west of England. In my dad's old Volvo, my sister and brother next to me, dogs in the back, mum and dad up front, sunlight streaming through the trees windows down and Windsong in the stereo, windows down and the warm breeze .... magical.

I can tell you exactly where I was when I found out he died.

I can too, and I was devastated. I cried about 2 weeks afterward.

Yep. I was in Vancouver Washington driving up the I-5 freeway. It was a sad day indeed.
