A lot of you drivers are posting that you missed so much. I drive a truck too. I never missed one activity of my kids when they were growing up. I refused to go OTR. I stayed a local driver and was home every night. Those who chose OTR do it because you want to. Not because you have to. There's plenty of local driving jobs.

I love this song so much, but God... it destroys me... Been otr for the last 3 months now. Missing so much at home. My boys are basically adults soon and I'm missing it all. I missed their first dates, prom, license, new cars, etc. I just wanna provide a good life for them and also give them someone to look up too hopefully instead of resent me. I pray it works out for the best.

When I was born, on the very day I was born, I received a Western Union Telegram, it said "Happy birthday Tiger! Pop." Dad was a Flying Tiger in WWII. I still have the telegram. He sent it from China (Taiwan). I was number 5 of his 7 children, miss him to this day.

I've been driving truck for 20 plus years! I never pissed in a bottle I always kept my truck clean inside and out! I wear nice boots and jeans and a button up shirt. Yeah I guess I'm a real driver! Classy and raised two girls on my own but I missed a lot to.

Worked in the mining industry for years! I hauled big iron all over the midwest, everything from 988 Caterpillar's to 773 haul trucks . I missed a lot! I came home one day and she had a boyfriend. I changed jobs and raised two girls on my own for 5 years! I'm a proud papa but I missed a shit ton of memories!

There are so many people who are giving up in the world and I'm here to say please don't give up. Talk to your kids and they will understand later that you did all you could and that you will always be there or here for them. I am a proud mom to my daughter and I still tell her I wish I could have been there years ago. My daughter is almost 13 and I am here for her throw these rough times I know teens go through and I'm saying to everyone that I will never leave her and I am here when she needs a shoulder to cry on, I'm here for the times a daughter just needs her mom, I will not abandon her at times at need. Baby gal I love you soo much and you make me the proudest mom in the world

My x husband made me miss the first few years of my daughter's life because he was a asshole. The day I finally got to see her I told her about this song and told her that I'm here for her and will always be here for her and how much I wish I could been there for her first words.
