I've been to the sunshine state and seen a lot of "Florida-man" on the news, national news, on Facebook, Google, and best yet here on YouTube done by top tenz with that Brit dude. When your population is over 21 million, statisticly I would've expected that more than a few would be so talented and a legend in county music!

Now let's take a look at my home state, Oklahoma. We have less than a quarter of y'alls population, just shy of 4 million in the Sooner state. But..... we have more than a few talented, famous, and legendary artist thyat call or have called this place home! Hell we even got ones that ain't even raised up here but call this home now (Rodney carrington, past miranda Lambert, now gwen Stefani, Trisha yearwood) but true Hokies are huhgarth Brooks, vince gill, Reba Mcentire, The late and great Merle haggard, toby Keith, mel McDaniel, Blake Shelton, the swon brothers, bob wills, carrie Underwood, and many, many, more.

John Anderson does this song best. It's hauntingly sad. It's like he is crying through the song. I get a lump in my throat evey time I hear this.

I seen Cody Johnson this year and Chris Stapleton and Jamie Johnson..but MY FAVORITE 3 SHOWS so far this year are The Steel Woods opening for CODY JINKS and then catching CODY JINKS in another show..Then AARON LEWIS was awesome.. the young man that opened up for CoJo was Jacob Bryant and I will go see him again..I know I'm missing someone else but I can't think right now it's been a FUN YEAR SO FAR 😁

I saw John at Renfro Valley in Aug '18, he put on a great, great show. He even did the handshake thing w/fans at the rear entrance when it was all over. It was a nice touch, he seems like a real down to earth guy.

I must've been 9 or 10 when this was popular on the radio, I knew even then it was sad & heartwrenching. Thank you for the memory of a great tune.

I listened to this song and it takes me back 1958 when I left for the marines, and I got a dear john letter. I came home on leave about 15 years later. sat on the front steps of our old home. Thought about the girl I was going to marry after high school. She married someone else while I was gone
