@MrRJDB1969 That's why good turntables have a pitch control. I'm sorry but the little things bother especially on a songs with a fast beat like this one. Personally I wouldn't post a bad recording especially when there are at least 3 good quality recordings of the same song already posted.

Super, Jim Reeves has been one of my favorite singers for years, and he'll always be.

My stepmother nicknamed my brother Bimbo after listening to this song once she married our Dad in 1974 and we have loved this song ever since.
AND also my nickname was always Little LizaJane, which also became a hit song from Vince Gill

I'm one year older than this song and grew up listening to it. I sang it my kids when they were little....they had a spring horse named Bimbo...they'd ride ol' Bimbo til the springs nearly broke screaming Bimbo, Bimbo Bimbo! Great memories all the way around!! I'm going to record this on a karaoke track and send it my daughter....she'll hear it and say 'I know this!" :)

I remember my mother singing this song to my siblings and me when we were small children. She loved to listen to Jim Reeves; I didn't know until recently that it was one of his songs. I remember Mother listening to "Four Walls", "He'll Have to Go", and "I'm Gonna Change Everything That Holds a Memory of You." He did have a beautiful voice. I was a child when he was killed in the plane crash; I've been listening to a lot of the oldies on You Tube. I had forgotten what a handsome man Jim Reeves was. This pic must have been made when he was pretty young; he's certainly good lookin'! Can see why Mother was crazy about him!

Jim Reeves was a favorite of my moms as well, but I think it was in part, because he looked so much like her own dad who died in a home fire in 1961, when he was 44 years old. I was given my grandfathers complete name and so I too, as a kid, liked Jim Reeves before having ever heard him sing, just because my mom always said that he resembled the man that I was named after.
