I thought it was an old song because of the style of music... but it turns out that it's JEWEL! I WANT THAT BITCH DEAD BECAUSE OF THIS SONG! not really, but I do hate this song and I hate her for creating it.

The melody is genius (as mentioned - classic 50's style) but the lyrics can go burn in hell.

This song, Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime" and that putrid Selena Gomez "Love you like a love song" cause me to suffer all day at work. There are others too, but those three are the top three contenders for work-related music agony.

I swear EVERY Walmart worker has heard this song at least 5,000 times.

I did not know this was Jewel - but this song makes me think of Black Friday... er, um "The Yearly Event" which SOMEHOW managed to be the only song you could hear over all the chaos.

0771 Grocery. My speakers have a short fuze in my backroom. So usually I hide back there when this song starts. It's amazing how terrible a song ABOUT a grocery store is especially when you work at one.

0425 IMS. At least we close, so half of the time we listen to what we want. The other half, we ignore because it's this and other stuff I don't half listen to.

Sadly, we can't make the choice on what we listen to on the nightshift there. We USED to, kind of, back when we had WalMart radio...which has vanished with so much else there...

I call BS. Sure, some of the songs are pretty bad (or at least bad covers of good songs) but there are some real gems in there. I'd rather hear the barney song than this one.

1991 Lawn and Garden. Fuck this song. I hear it everyday and it just sounds like it's imprinting the idea of buying groceries into customers' heads. Those evil Walmart bastards.

This is probably the best song played over the store radio. Unlike the other 10 hours of music, this one actually stands out as a good novelty song.

OMG! Everyone gets the same 9-10 hour loop! I'm just starting to get to know the order the songs are played in. While I'd love to see the classic Wal-Mart radio come back, the CD (it's at least a 9 hour loop, because it never repeats on one of my shifts) is at least better than the silence or all the damn personal iPods or cell phones played WAY too loud. I have to admit, I kinda like this one, though I'd never have guessed it was Jewel.

I work in produce at #1962 and by the 6th time I hear this song on an 8-hr. shift, I want to rip my face off and vomit into the never-soiled stainless sink. Also on my list of songs I never ever want to hear again are Cheryl Crow's "Soak Up The Sun" and Whitney Houston's "I Wanna' Dance with Somebody Who Loves Me." I hear Smash Mouth's "Walking on the Sun" so often now that I start mumbling the lyrics in a monotone chatter during my sleep.

Ha ha I work for Walmart too! They got rid of Walmart Radio, which I loved. Now we have CDs sent to the stores by corporate. We're supposed to get a new one every quarter. This song is on our current CD. I wish they'd bring back the radio station format. I've been at 1417 for 7 years; been w/the company almost 20.

Why does walmart have to play the same music every single day?!?!?! I've worked at walmart for 5 1/2 years and all the repeating all the time makes you hate songs even if you used to love them before. This sounded like a 40's song, so I had to look it up. I was like... "Why is walmart playing 40's music?"
