Jethro Tull - Doctor To My Disease Lyrics
I've been treated for mild depression
and I've been treated for growing pains.
I've been treated for hallucinations;
now I can see it all coming again.
Well, you can wind me up. Yeah, you can slow me down.
But there's one thing I should tell you, to which
you must agree:
There's no use you playing doctor to my disease.
Said it's no use you playing doctor to my disease.
I got no cure for this condition
that you've been causing me tonight.
Well, you put my heart in overdrive:
hand me the bullet I must bite.
You can stir me up and you can cut me down.
But there's one thing I should tell you, to which
you must agree:
It's no use you playing doctor to my disease.
Do you have to break my engine
so you can fix it up again?
Tuned to crazy imperfection
just to score me out of ten.
Well, you can wind me up. Yeah, you can slow me down.
You can dig a little. Yeah, you can mess me around.
But there's one thing I should tell you, to which
you must agree:
That it's no use you playing doctor to my disease.

I love the guitar parts.
sKVĚLÉ....DÍKY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tull never gets old to my ears. This music is pure joy!
Greattttttttttttttttttttttttt
if I can't build Martin barre a custom electric guitar I'm missing out .
This rocks!
Tull always has interesting-sounding riffs. Another great song. My favourite from Catfish Rising.
Robert Parums . the guitars come from z z top.
Vosoogh, yes there's definitely a ZZ Top influence there, which started on Crest of a Knave. Ian must have reached a turning point after Under Wraps and was looking for a way to get back into a more hard rock groove.
TULL RULEZ!
I'm only 12 but i love this :D My favorite song :D
I'm 17 and JT is my favorite band along with Pink Floyd. We've definitely found the good stuff.
Wow. I hope to go and see Ian Anderson next year when he comes to Scotland, if my exam timetable allows.
I've seen Jethro Tull in concert twice, the most recent one was for the release of Thick As A Brick 2, which was absolutely amazing! His performances live are unbelievable.
7 times never fails to amaze ..
Neither have I, but I'd really like to. Particularly "Songs from the Wood", "Budapest" and "Dun Ringill"
The only rock band (indeed the only band) I've been to see is Status Quo. You can't describe how excellent Quo are, you just have to see them for yourself.
Me too! I am a young person and I love a lot of these truly great old bands. Modern rock bands are nothing compared to the greats.
Tull weren't supposed to be anything, they were just rock, be it blues rock, prog rock, folk rock, electronic rock or heavy rock.
Tull aren't supposed to be "heavy" anyway...
Faith in youth: just restored!
lucky you to have discovered the best in music at such a young age.
I always thought side 1 of Catfish Rising was better than side 2. Still another great Tull album.
Came to think about this song when a girl I was seeing tried to analyse me and hinted I might be suffering from some kind of letter combination. I surpressed an urge to yell: "I HAVE TOURETTES BITCH!!" and instead just replied, dont worry about it baby, what I have is from an entirely different alphabet. Just let me be.
And in my head I heard the tune of Ian Anderson singing "There's no use you playing doctor to my disease".
That's great!!
@AcousticLife194 ditto!... except Im 17 and Ive never had the opportunity to see em live. lol
Awsome! Greetings from Poland.
Just the level at which this applies to my life....unbelievable xD
great as always
...BRAVO!!!!
One of the better heavy Me-Tull songs!
I see what you did there~
KingHellstrings - The song is Tull-isman against all psychic disease! 👀🎵😜
