The Star is the animated movie that based on faith take on the story of the Nativity that was told from the perspective of the animals that accompany Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem.

Mary and Joseph are faithful, loving and caring: Mary in particular cares about the animals that turn up on the journey of the couple toward Bethlehem.

This Christian animated movie promotes the idea that friends support and help each other.

Positive messages include the power of generosity, integrity and compassion; the importance of protecting others; the importance of following through on your duty/responsibilities; and faith that the journey toward Mary and Joseph had the important purpose.

This is a really good movie, but it's most likely for kids, this movie had so much potential to be as great as Pixar, Dreamworks and Disney, I'm an aspiring filmmaker, and not gonna lie, if were the one directing, co-writing and producing, I'd would have worked my butt off to perfect this movie to be a masterpiece =, like a Christian Pixar or Christian Disney in a sense, they even made wonderful songs that I think would have more potential trying to have more fitting scenes rather than make them feel too kiddy.

Dude I'm a grown adult and the movie was perfect especially since it came from Hollywood!! The whole point of the story was for children not the adults. If ur making a kids movie it better be geared towards the children because that's who's going to get their parents to spend the money

@Madeline Bryant I get what you're saying, but when you think about Dreamworks, Blue Sky, Pixar and Disney they make animated movies for kids and adults love them, they're engaging, emotional and powerful, and here's the bottom line, Prince of Egypt and The Miracle Maker were faith based masterpieces, and I will tell you I really waited 20 years hoping one day there would be a new 'Prince of Egypt' a new faith based animated masterpiece, I had high hopes for this film to be that, but unfortunately it was not the one, and I believe all animated films should be remembered and well beloved like Pixar and Disney, now if you want to make kids movies just for kids, that's fine, if you want the parents to pay for those, but as an aspiring filmmaker I believe even kids movies should be powerful, engaging and fun for all ages, don't get me wrong it's still a very good movie, but I'm saying it could've had more potential to be the next Prince of Egypt.

@Matthew Ballon I guess for me being a child when the prince of Egypt I felt it was a let down and the other you mentioned .the prince of Egypt was fast paced and many ofnthe real parts was smoothed over . I never felt the tral struggle ot the real faith with it ever . I felt this was a much better story and all together animation. Like I said top u have to think who is putting this out. They for the most part are none belivers and are using the christian faith for bank. I'm honestly shocked at how good this turned out even with it not being completely biblical, for which I say I like that because most movies even kids one biblical characters seems 5o have no depth of personality or even real human emotions. The fact that they used animals was wonderful much like Asepo and etc.
