She made my sisters life just a little better, my sister died from cystic fibrosis. Its amazing, how singers or artists can make someone feel safe and secure..truly amazing♥︎

And this song just really got to me, cause I do miss my grandma, even though she's still here, part of her is gone, because she can't remember us half the time and its heart breaking watching her slip away from us.

that is how i relate to the song, my grandma was the same. she has sense gone but i remember thinking lord if you really love her take her home because who is there right now is a stranger. she would remember me sometimes and it was like losing her over and over again, i do miss her but she is in a better place.

My grandmother is currently suffering the late stages of dementia and she lives with me and my mom and it is the most heartbreaking thing i have ever witnessed. She’s had such a hard life. She’s lost all her brothers before she reached the age of 14. Her father beat her and was an alcoholic. She grew up in the Great Depression so her mother couldn’t afford to give her the best life. She would always tell me about how one time she went to school in a dress made from a potato sack that her mother made for her and all the other kids made fun of it but she loved it. She has lost her husband, a son, and many grandchildren. Yet she remained so kind and so sweet. It’s so hard seeing her forgetting everything and this song PERFECTLY helps get all of those emotions out.

This really hits me right in the feels... my grandma is suffering from dementia and day by day we lose her a little more.... day by day a little more of her is gone.... day by day... i miss her so much.... the happy amazing woman she once was.... i was doing anything for one last happy day.... one last day of playing board games and laughing together... just one more day... 💔
