Jennings, Waylon - Lonely Weekends Lyrics

Well, I make it alright
From Monday morning till Friday night
Oh, those lonely weekends
Since you left me
I'm as lonely as I can be
Oh, those lonely weekends.

Said you'd be true to me
You said our love's never gonna die
Said you'd be true to me
But baby you didn't even try.

I'll make it alright
From Monday morning till Friday night
Oh, those lonely weekends.

[Instrumental]

You said you'd be true to me
You said our love's never gonna die
Said you'd be true to me
But baby you didn't even try.

I'll make it alright
From Monday morning till Friday night
Oh, those lonely weekends.

Oh, those lonely weekends.
Oh, those lonely weekends...

Love this version but Jerry lee Lewis did this song the best

  2. B.... ....

This is so much better twin the studio version...

Damn, Waylin was a badass. Nobody could hope to remake Charlie's classic, Waylon nailed it and made it look easy to boot.

  4. 2.... ....

My Gawd I remember seeing this performance on TV late 60's; I must of been 4 yrs old. I was shocked and amazed as I turned around and said "Father, your on TV!.. HOW?" My Mom and Dad just died laughing but I was serious!

  5. J.... G....

What a GREAT voice he had !!!

  6. D.... S....

Waylon is my all time favorite

  7. R.... 3....

Waylon in a way reminds me of Conway Twitty. Conway recorded songs that barely hit top 40 by the original artist and turned them into #1 hits. He made them his own. Even though Waylon done a lot of remakes they're authentic because he made them his own. A true artist never tries to impersonate an original. They make it their own and thats what makes a true legend.

  8. D.... W....

Waylon has a gifted voice with a magical guitar!

  9. F.... F....

What a voice! Waylon was such a fantastic talent.

  10. B.... B....

Love Waylon Jennings. But this is Charlie Rich's song.

  11. S.... S....

The overdubbed background vocals ruin this version. Thankfully they're not on the album version.

  12. S.... ....

The worst version of Lonely Weekends.

    S.... ....

    for you

    S.... ....

    Shut up dummy

    S.... ....

This is the best version of this song

  13. K.... B....

As much as I like Waylon Charlie Rich's version is the best

    K.... B....

Kenneth Baker At least he did it in his own style, but this is far from the most impressive version I've heard.

    K.... B....

Waylon's version may not be the greatest but he's forever The Great Balladeer.

    K.... B....

celles de Jerry Lee Lewis et Wanda Jackson sont très bonnes également

    K.... B....

I think this is better than Rich's version

    K.... B....

    garyt1957 waylons is the best

  14. P.... ....
