dorothy, My thoughts exactly! Waylon and Jessi had such a pure, true love that overcame all obstacles, and could never die. Not many of us can say that. Sometimes I think that it was best that Waylon passed first, because he idolized Jessi, and I really don’t think that he could have gone on without her. I get the impression that Jessi is just patiently biding her time until she can be with Waylon once again.

His concert was awesome, I saw him (I think it was 1994) in Wellington, Ohio at the Lorain County Fair and he put on an AMAZING SHOW! I had always thought the song Help Me Make It Through The Night was weak and whiny, but he picked that song up and ran with it, totally transformed it!

I had the pleasure of meeting both Waylon and Jessi in 1986. He was such a sweet and humble man, not to mention VERY easy on the eyes! And, he sure loved his Jessi.
It wasn’t until he stood up to give me a hug and a sweet kiss on my cheek before I left that I fully realized how tall Waylon really was. Gosh, how I miss that gentle giant!
