Jennifer Rush - A Touch Of Paradise Lyrics

The evening stars shine down in peace
Seeing this it makes my troubles cease
The sun is hiding I wanna be where you are
As it stretches right across the sky
That always seems so far

And all I do is look into your eyes
For that special touch of paradise
Just a touch a touch of paradise
Just a special touch of paradise

You hold my hand, that's when we kiss
And it doesn't take long for me to know what I miss

All this love that stretches out across the land
Where rainbows flash
As we're walking in the sand

And all I do is look into your eyes
For that special touch of paradise
Just a touch a touch of paradise
Just a special touch of paradise

A touch of spring and autumn sweet
More than I can take when our eyes meet
And I think of all the love
That we have been making
You touch my hand
And I wake up shaking

And all I do is look into your eyes
For that special touch of paradise
Just a touch a touch of paradise
Just a special touch of paradise

This is an interesting interpretation of the song. Lyrically it varies from the original Mondo Rock recording and hugely successful version by John Farnham. Different doesn't mean bad, it's just different and an interesting addition in the evolution of this song.

Being a huge FARNHAM fan, I am always keen to find original recording of the songs he covers and alternate recordings of tracks he has released. That's how I stumbled across this video. JR's take on this will expose this song to a wide international audience and might entice a handful of them to seek out previous recordings of this song, exposing them to Australia artists and music. That in itself has to be a favourable thing.

Must be the Mondo Rock version covered (recorded 3 years before Farnham's, check Wiki)

Interesting version... what's with all the different lyrics throught the verses... They are not the same as the Farnham version, and the lyrics were written by Gulliver Smith and Ross Wilson.. So I would be interested how Jennifer managed to get permission for changing the lyrics..

voiceusa She probably asked, and Smith and Wilson probably agreed...
