Jason Mraz - Mudhouse / Gypsy MC Lyrics
Say we ain't got no dope
All I got's my forty
Ain't got nobody baby
That I can call my shorty
Say we ain't got no dope
All I got's my forty
Ain't got nobody baby
That I can call my shorty
I'd like to give a shout out to all my VIP's
And individualize 'cause I'm an MC
I can because I care because my family's here
Cause I (cause I what)
Cause I (cause I what)
I'm savin' all my sentences unless of course I'm smoothly spoken
Quiet type the kind to watch out for
No man of the clan I'm perpetratin' the scam
Sure I'm the boy with the fallopian voice
Straight from the sleeve of any wizard of choice
I got the reason to be roamin' out the coverage area
Send me the bill if all my lovin' is scarin' ya
Dare you to dream the way that I believe
I got the skill to go commando in any fatigues
I got the best damn band in the music scene
But I could also flow solo or just let it be because
Of the love
Oh the self realization is your if and and but
But you gotta know your name before the play of the game
Keep a levelheaded check on your health and stay sane
Address the tack on the track
The needle's on the record
Prepare for playback
Sayjack
Oh could I buy another vowel? I need another clue and I could also use a towel
And
How goes the medium tempo
Slayin' all the teachers like the class of '84
And down low
You know my fidelities go
Well I would never hurt a fly with the didas on
I got control
I keep a clean toilet bowl
2000 flushes blue and still goin' strong
Do I do what I do for the sake of the song comin' through on the radio?
Naw it's for you
This is proof
My own story's a spoof
I'll always be a gypsy
I'll forever be aloof
And if you never get to likin' me it's okay too
But you made it this far so pay your toll at the booth
Ah yes you made it this far so pay your toll at gate
Yes you made it this far now make some noise in this place
I said we made it this far now let's get back to the part that we sing (what?)
We ain't got no dope
All I got's my forty
Ain't got nobody baby
That I can call my shorty
We ain't got no dope
All I got's my forty
Ain't got nobody baby
That I can call my shorty
True or false?
I can be a sensitive man
With sensible plans for the everyday woman
And I can keep you eatin' out the palm of my hand
Because the dope that we smoked was grown on my land
The words I burn they don't come from a can
The movie in my mind'll be the winner at Cannes
So take your chance
Apply for full or part-time romance
Clever or the better measure up to whatever
Cause it don't matter how tall
How fat or how small
Equal opportunities are open to all
The casting call line forms down the hall
All you need is I.D that shows that you're legal
But people with egos, a freakshow, a syndrome
You best not go
You know I don't need those
If you got a problem that I really aughta read
Then post it on the web care of R-K-O-P
It's easy like me but a bit less than cheesy
Go heavy on the melody and add a dash of pink
And if you can't stand the kitchen get the hell out the heat
To meet with the geek all you need is a heartbeat
And to meet with the geek on the streets all you gotta do is know the words you sing
So everybody repeat this after me
(sing it)
Ain't got no dope
All I got's my forty (all I got is a forty)
Ain't got nobody baby
That I can call my shorty
Ain't got no dope
All I got's my forty (all I got is a forty)
Ain't got nobody baby
That I can call my shorty
Well I'm I'm type A positive and just the way I like it
Right away I'm satisfied with my food before I try it
Can't deny it to save my life
I'm never lyin'
To brave this mic without the same thing twice
Is actually an act of stayin' up all night
With the mood just right
And the purchase of a flight
From the west cost
To these Netherlands lights it's aurora borealis' company that I'm tight with
Despite everything that you've heard
I'll admit that most are true
And I'll be keeping my word
And I will do the double duty on the search for new verbs
And I'll report to work early to deliver the worm
With a back well covered by my buddies of ease
Now ain't no way in hell that I will ever have to say please
Breakin' all the codes on the latest machines
I'll even let you download me for free

Still watching and listening on 2018!!
Sigo a Jason Mraz desde su primer álbum y había olvidado este video, lo encontré viendo do el cover de Billie Jean pero vaya sorpresa tan agradable, el mejor artista que he escuchado
awesome
wow jason got some bars
This is really a good one and sorta belongs next to melissa etheridge on the playlist. But I hate playlists anyways, I am not a D.J. All I want is the CD and my ear back!
Juliana Mraz 0
Ain't got ya fourta yet. Alls ya gotss ya dope.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!! SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!
If anyone wants to learn how to play this song on guitar, just go to my channel and take a look at the lesson! It's pretty easy!
THANKS ! =D best promotion ever xD "if you want to play like mr.a-z's style, come to my channel
Edit that shiiiiiit!!! X-D
OH,YGOD THIS IS TOO GOOD
Unbelievable. This guy just keeps getting better and better. Amazing rap flow with jazzy guitar and the usual great Mraz vocals. 35 dislikes must be tone deaf.
this song was written more then a decade ago
I think it was off the bonus tracks from the 2008 album "We sing, we dance, we steal things"... I just never really sat and appreciated it until recently. This live informal performance is incredible... and the lyric mistake makes it that much better.
@swag child Old Mraz Is The Best Mraz.
love it
one of my favorite video of Jason. . . love that part when he got lost. . . kinda cute. . . . lol!
this is my favorite video on youtube
Bob Schneider's original version is soooooo much better. Sry Jason, you just can't sound as kewl as Bob.
infiernodeashly shut up.
His version is a full band song with keyboard and stuff. Not the same. Jason can play this on a $50 guitar while walking around...
Me too
took me 25mins but i found it :D
Still one of my favorite tunes of him.
hes the best that's why
Also, a little trivia, Bob Schneider started a group called The Scabs back in the 90's and part of that group who played with Bob Schneider and The Scabs were called The Grooveline Horns - They were the horn trio that played with Bob Schneider. The Grooveline Horns also toured a few years back with Jason Mraz and were part of his group as backup horns.
remakeme Saw a couple of his shows with the groove line, they were phenomenal
Amazingly talented group of guys
Mraz is a fan of Bob Schneider and with good reason.. But i wonder if he did this song with Bob Schneider on a tour when they do that lyric game they do Or after the fact... Usually every member of the Bob Schneider band and other co artist on tour would play a game by choosing a word or phrase and they try to make a new song using that word or phrase. So you will find alot of songs with the same title or lyrics among Bob Schneider and friends.
Love how he forget the lyrics so cute
Bob Schneider and The Scabs kick ass on this originally, available, forget the cd, lots to chose from
Now it's gay! hahahaha!
Dear god I love this man so much
now kiss
Aaaw thanks! :D Jason brings so much people together.
and you !! :D
Man with good taste
Aawww so much lovin'!
i love you too , man ))
I like Jason Mraz, but the best part of this song is the 'mudhouse' portion that he borrowed from Bob Schneider.......
Ti amo Jason♥
*singing
at first i was like "High quality? Hell no! 360p" but then i heard jason's singing, great recording, great asking, loved the music since i was 8!
sound high quality
Underrated
He does this song so well. Frig. I love this so much my stomach hurts.
Joon jav joon. Yoo jood beya zoobazdor!
Joon jav. Joooooon!
Fuck Off commenting about Bob Schneider on Jason's video. If you're gonna complain about artists covering other artists then prepare yourself for a mental breakdown because most of them do it. If you have such a problem with him using the chorus of another persons song then just go listen to the original, dont come here slating his twists and his rapping just because he has covered the chorus of Bob Schneider. He's not exactly saying its his own is he so what is the problem?
OMG i Salute by jason mrazta!
that's true!!!!!!!!!
it's awesome! i thought it's freestyle song!! haha
i love you for introducing bob schneider to me. you made somebody across the world happy. i hope a pie randomly falls out of the sky right to your doorstep because of your comment. lol
Of course I know that. But the parts that are original aren't that great. And where they are probably intended to sound like a freestyle, they are clearly composed and that makes them less impressive. Mraz is good with wordplay in his tunes (and pats himself on the back for it). I just think Bob can do way more and is more deserving of the praise.
Not that Bob Schneider isn't a good musician. But you realize this isn't COMPLETELY a Bob Schneider cover right? The chorus is his. The verses, or the "rap" part are actually the words to Jason's song Gypsy MC.
Then Snoop would probably like the guy who wrote and recorded "Mudhouse" just as much or more - Bob Schneider. I like Mraz's range but Bob is a more complete artist. Check out his album "The Californian". This isn't the first song of his Mraz has covered.
la amoo
Amazing!!
Thanks!
I just love this! Jason is amazing!
"edit that shit!" haha
Taken from Bon
Jason deserves so much more credit!
only 3 chords there
x79787 , 877787 , 797777
watch the video and u will find jason is playing these
Y'all know this is a cover/spin of the artist Bob Schneider, right?
yuppp. Em7 C6/9 D with the 3rd in the base, lol
anybody knows the chords?
I love the way he said 'oh my goodness'... I just love him...
I like this song so much !

hij gaat helemaal op de muziek en vaalt dan kei hard geweldig maar nog steeds een geweldig lied
love to hum this tune... whole lyrics in my brain now

The best would be Eminem right?
Legend, great talent love this song...
Hahaha! " oh my goodness.." lmfao. Haha love him!!
love it <33
He says "edit that shit" jokingly, not "uhh ahh shit"
Was that Jasons insecurity slip?
<3 mraz
I remember seeing this video a couple of years ago when I was first stumbled upon Jason Mraz. 3:00 I still remember that moment haha, god this guy is such a beast. He's inspired me so much, I've gone a long way since I first picked up a guitar. I hope I meet him one day in my life, no homo.
@BreakAwayQuiet29 Actually he's number one. Not only does he rap he does it with a guitar.
i'm a guy .. but i love this man )
@maagdalenaa1 agreed!
He seems to be such a great guy to hang out with, not to mention his amazing voice !
@MrSemiproslacker Actually I watched an extended version of this and before he played this he actually says credit goes to Bob Schneider and that Bob gave him the ok. So all's good.
''Sing along with the guy in the hat''
haha you gotta love him XD
"oh my goodness.. ain't that shit?" waa! i just fell in love again <3 <3 <3
@MrSemiproslacker He always credits Bob when he plays the song.
@MrSemiproslacker Oops, I meant Mudhouse.
Where's the props for Bob Schneider? The chorus is from Madhouse. Google it. I'm not hating on JM, but one of the best white rappers could be G Love. Represent. :-) Good song though Jason.
@uncompahgrecamper It has to be Eminem of course.
