American cuisine: Deep fried, sugar-coated, moar meat, moar cheese, moar everything, fast food.


I do get tired of there being nothing healthy to eat while out and about in the USA. Of everywhere I have been in the USA, all that exists is junk food unless you eat at home or happen to live in California. It would be nice to be able to go to the local corner store and buy a bento-like lunch for a reasonable price that has a reasonable taste and reasonable nutrition. No, all we have is almost plastic sandwiches, deep-fried everything, fattening, and calorie-rich foods with little to no flavor. Even cooking at home is difficult due to the difficulty in finding decent ingredients. When it comes to produce, there is almost no selection at any stores and what they do have is almost always underripe and tasteless due to having to pick underripe and ship halfway around the planet. Farmers markets in my area are jokes. They literally are open three hours a week for a quarter of the year and very little in the way of selection. What do you do?
