Absolutely incredible. I can see why this was left off the magnificent All for You album; it doesn't really belong anywhere musically or thematically, but I'm sure glad she gave us this amazing jam as a bonus track when she didn't have to.

+Kennedie King ,All holes aside you guys have to realize it not Janet's decision which song is released ( although she has some say so) it's the record company's. This particular song was made original for the Damita Jo album and the guy who wrote and produced the song ( Rich Harrison) also do a lot of work for Amerie. In case you can't hear any simularities, google "Pops Up" by Janet and you will see the simularities in the music and vocals. So , I'm guessing , because Janet being the Icon that she is her record company was not going for Janet sounding like someone else. So they didn't release any of the material that they worked on together. Its sad but they have their reasons.

I know it's been 6 years since your post, but just to clarify, releasing extra tracks in Japanese releases was a common practice and the artist doesn't have a say in it. The decision was always made by the record company because they own the music and, at the time, Japan was the second largest music market in the world. Usually anglo artists would have a tough time breaking through non-English markets so they needed to add something that presented "extra value" to japanese consumers. Hope this clears it up for you.

I did do my homework and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis produced the whole 'All For You' album. I have the album myself. I know they didn't produce every song she has done in her career but on that particular album, they did produce the whole thing.
