I've been a huge fan from the beginning. As a musician and song writer I know how hard it is to write something special. It's harder to write consistently well. JT is a rare bird. Song for song I honestly feel like this is his best album. Montana makes me emotional. I look at the age on his face and listen to the poetry of "Wood for the wood stove and water for coffee. Things I can still understand." There's more honesty and beauty in that line than in most albums. The man is a true national treasure.

Thank you Mr. Taylor for the dreams, the desires that have always traveled with his songs.

olsons? Never ever heard of them. But I know Taylors are excellent.

I saw his brother Livingston Taylor play a Taylor guitar on a documentary once. Those Olsons are very expensive custom made instruments. Twice as much money as the high end Taylors. Both are great guitars though.

OK, well i've read many reviews and some from the younger set. They find it boring.As for me, one year older than James, I find it very pleasing and reflective. This song could very well be about , Colorado, Rocky Top, Topanga, or any misty mountain top in Appalachia. I will listen to more of the album/CD and I can already see it's classic Taylor.Never stop writin, pickin and singin James...My mother still at it at 88.........My brother (in March) looks like you at 50 and plays 6 & 12 string........

Wow, I love this song. It's beautiful & timeless, brand new, and yet classic JT. I'm thinking that, along with the mountains of Montana, James was created to be "something to pleasure God's eye," as well as our ears.

It never takes long to fall in love with each new James Taylor album in it's entirety. But there is always a tune or two that grab me and pull me in immediately upon first listen. *_Montana_* is that song.
