I've heard many people and races sing this song, i have always noticed when other races sing it, it's a great dept that's missing. Almost like there's no soul or essence in it. I got real goosebumps listening to this. I'm studying the Civil Rights Movement in Modern History and our homework is to listen to this song. Such sad, terrible history. It makes me sick to the core that anyone experienced this. Especially because it's still recent in our history...

It's hard to fathom that my people were hung and burned just because of the color of our skin. I think black history should be a year-round event not just one month. But it is our responsibility as black adults especially parents to teach the Young Generation our history

This happened. I can't imagine it. How can any human being do this to another? Strange fruit? No. Humans burnt to death because of the colour of their skin. It's unimaginable and sick. I cry at the sheer horror of it all. The song is beautiful, the message is poignant and true. Let us hope. It never happens again.
