Jackson, Wanda - You Don't Know Baby Lyrics

You don't know how much I love you you don't know how much I care
You don't know how much I need you without you life I can't bear
You don't know baby you don't know baby you don't know baby no you don't
You don't know baby no you don't no you can't know how feel

The flame that you left is still burning burning down deep in my soul
When I think of all of your loving and kissing it's you I wanna hold
You don't know baby...

All of my friends say I'm crazy for actin' the way that I do
But I just can't help myself 'cause I'm still in love with you
And you don't know baby...
No you don't no you can't know how feel

Nice voice. Love that easy-going sound:-)

Some resemblance to the song, "Fever."

    C.... d....

Corno di Bassetto it was the b side of PEGGY LEE, s Fever.

Interesting fact/coincidence. Obviously not a coincidence that it was B-sided. The question is did Davenport aka Blackwell or co-writer write both songs. Anyway, we're getting stricter on copyright infringement, which may stifle creativity, as a recent case showed. There's a line in Billy Haley's "Skinny Minnie" ("you ain't tall, you're just tall, that's all" that is the same as a line in "Big Boss Man"). The Connie Francis hit, "Blue Winter" seems somewhat modeled on "Blue Christmas," though it takes off in a different direction later.

Peggy Lee first recorded the song in 1957. Wanda Jackson's version is from a 1962 album. The songwriter is Walter Spriggs. Wanda must have heard Peggy's record, because she (Wanda) is singing it in a very similar manner. (Peggy actually recorded the song again later on, singing it with a very different arrangement.)
