My grand mother loved this song she was so full of life and one day she heard it on the raído and she told my older brother that she wanted this song to play at her funeral and her funeral was yesterday day a couple weeks after she told my brother she past away I will always love and wish her the best which is why I’m listening to this song I will always cherish her.😢💔💔

My aunt will be buried on the 21st. Thursday we will be playing this at her funeral. We’ve played it almost everyone’s funeral who’ve passed since it’s came out. 💔

I had this played at my moms funeral in July I also played it the night before she passed the next day I asked her minister if this song could be played well come to find out she already had it planned to be played

This song was on my heart this morning.

My mother recently passed from this life. She loved Alan Jackson so as a tribute to her, we played the Old Rugged Cross by Alan Jackson at her funeral. Not a dry eye in the room. When I hear it I know she's happy and suffering no more. Praise God for the Old Rugged Cross.

I didn't know this song some one shared it with me a very lovely song nice words I just love it.

This was sung at my moms funeral. She loved this song but not as much as I loved her. How do you ever make the pain and heart break ever go away? I love you so much mom.

my great grandfather absolutely loved this song. he had a very bad illness. i'm not particularly sure what it was but it had something to do with his breathing. he always had to wear these things in his nose to help him to breathe. one night, it had stopped working. and he had to be rushed to the hospital. me and my very stressed out grandma, who had to take care of him, a 7 year old me, and her 80 year old mother and stepfather. were so worried. but he slowly got better to come back home on Hospice Care, an at home hospital care type. he had been doing pretty well for a while, but one very early morning, around 3:30 am, we had gotten a call that had said he had passed away in his sleep. we were all crying and mourning. about a month later, we had a funeral for him. we had this song playing at the very end. to this day, as a teen, still come back to this song to remember him. i loved him very much. i hope i get to see him again up there in the clouds one day.

I remember this song and some of the other ones he did.  I singing these songs and honestly not liking them(I was a kid at the time).  Now the more I hear it the more I love it.  And it also brings back memories of my mom and grandma.  RIP and I will see y'all again one day.

Rest in heavenly peace Louie Stanley on the banks of the Snake River in Idaho where his family gathered to say farewell until we meet again in glory.
