Jackson, Alan - Don't Rock The Jukebox Lyrics
Don't rock the jukebox
I wanna hear some Jones
My heart ain't ready
For the Rolling Stones
I don't feel like rockin'
So don't rock the jukebox
Play me a country song
Before you drop that quarter
Keep one thing in mind
You got a heartbroke hillbilly
Standing here in line
I've been down and lonely
Ever since she left
Before you punch that number
Don't rock the jukebox
I wanna hear some Jones
My heart ain't ready
For the Rolling Stones
I don't feel like rockin'
Since my baby's gone
So don't rock the jukebox
Play me a country song
I ain't got nothin'
Against rock & roll
But when your heart's been broken
You need a song that's slow
Ain't nothin' like a steel guitar
To drown a memory
Before you spend your money baby
Play a song for me
Don't rock the jukebox
I wanna hear George Jones
My heart ain't ready
For the Rolling Stones
I don't feel like rockin'
Since my baby's gone
So don't rock the jukebox
Play me a country song
Ya don't rock the jukebox
Play me a country song

Think often of my grandparents when I hear this song that they loved so much when I was a teenager in the 1990s and they had retired and moved back to Kentucky from Maryland where my grandpa was an industrial maintenance man for a 3500 unit apartment complex for about 40 years and my grandma was a housewife and homemaker.
They; loved, loved, loved Mr. Alan Jackson's Don't Rock the Jukebox!
Thanks much for posting it and for the fine trip down memory lane Sir.
God bless and God rest the souls of Mermaw and Papa Davidson of Kentucky!
These songs bring back wonderful childhood memories. This one reminds me of my grandparents as well.

Ain't nuthin' like a steel guitar, a Telecaster, and a fiddle.
The 90s were country's last stand
At the part where he mentioned a "heartbroke hillbilly," we see Otis from Andy Griffith.
Wait.... Did I just see Hal Smith (Otis Campbell)?
Make A Reply On Me And I wanna see it saying Alan Jackson
90s country miss these days no worries. Haha i was a kid lol ohhh to be young again!
This era was the last bastion of country music. It is now officially all about Nashville Pop.

George Jones. RIP.
Waaah, look at all them views on almost ALL of his videos. This guy’s my papa’s favorite singer. When i was young, I remember he would play jackson’s album for 8 to 10 hours straight on repeat on a roundtrip drive from the city to the province. I used to hate it but know the lyrics to all his songs at the same time. But now, as of 2019, i have a renewed appreciation for this singer, now i know why papa was and still is obsessed with him 🤣. All his songs have a story to tell, you dont get that everyday, nowadays.
Country was all my parents listened to, it wasn't until 7th grade or so when I finally got to explore the magical world of music. When I was a baby, if I was fussy, Alan Jackson would calm me down every time. Now, at 25, metal as fuck lol, I still love me some Alan Jackson❤
Alan Jackson sou brasileiro e amo muito suas canções meu nome é José Martins
Wonder how much old George got paid, for those 3 minutes? Great song, Alan--ALL his songs are great!!😊💒
Best looking man in the country music business and the best singer
2019 and ever
Wonder how much old George got paid, for being in this video?😊💒
I bet not much. George was his idol and mentor. They were very close.
Country music is so depressing
Miss this era so much
I knew the story behind this song, but it's so much better to hear Alan tell it--and watch him sing it. Love the cameo, by old George Jones. RIP, George.😢💒
Did you box
Look how young he was RIP in Mr. Jones
Love it 😍
I was 6 in 1991, this song would play on the radio.
Always bugged me about the Stones line.. Yeah they mainly rocked n rolled, but they did some damn good country tunes.. Btw love Jones.. Just one more drink man
I hate whining steel guitars. It’s like their only purpose it to smear their awful sound from one end of a song to the next.
