Jackson, Alan - All American Country Boy Lyrics

I work a forty hour week and I earn my keep
And I try to walk proud and tall
I keep my nose to the ground, I don't get behind
And I don't back up at all
Well my neck's a little red, my collar's blue
I sip a little coffee, and I drink a little booze

'Cause I'm an all American country boy
I'm my daddy's spittin' image and my mama's pride and joy
There ain't nothing down home that I really don't enjoy
'Cause I'm an all American country boy

I drive a pickup truck and I don't pass the buck
And I always speak my mind
I'm hooked on T.V., Rolaids, and B.C.'s
And I know how to have a good time
I'm a little bit rowdy and a little bit tame
Ain't no way I'm ever gonna change

'Cause I'm an all American country boy
I'm my daddy's spittin' image and my mama's pride and joy
There ain't nothing down home that I really don't enjoy
'Cause I'm an all American country boy

Well I must admit that I've mellowed a bit
Father Time can slow you down
I'm still doin' all I used to do
It just takes a little longer now

'Cause I'm an all American country boy
I'm my daddy's spittin' image and my mama's pride and joy
There ain't nothing down home that I really don't enjoy
'Cause I'm an all American country boy

I'm just a country boy
A good ol' country boy

Don't ever - brown nose any - person, Nation; nothing, ever. Where's the good ol' integrity and self-respect. Excellent song, I agree... Can't agree that American culture has benefited anyone or anything however, Roman. I ain't prejudice, Nationalist, racist, nor am i biased (so far as I know). One thing I do know is i don't like bullshit, nor any gospel spreading of it. Why not speak/write complete sense. Your post, as is mine, as is all - a complete waste of time. Except, I ain't talking utter - crap, where you have... Disagree? OK... No need for childish argument. Don't cry whilst writing paragraphs of more, I will assume - bull. All you really should do instead, is: tell me and the "www' - just 1 good thing that American culture has done for itself, me, you or anything... Please don't jus say - this song, or country music please. I want to hear the benefits not personal preferences, or taste!!! Basically... Top to bottom, long to short, though I went the long way around it, is... Don't spread bollocks... Wisdom. Love & Justice all the way, brother 😙

I really enjoy Country music a lot. Alan Jackson inspired me to like country music. I grow up in Montana listening to country CD-ROM and the radio.

I'm new to country music but I love It! But seems like music from the past is a lot better than some of the newest songs . Singers like Alan Jackson, George Strait and others from that time have excellent music but the newer stuff just misses the mark. Just my opinion
