The first night after my daughter was born I sang along to this and rocked her to sleep, and it’s a moment I’ll never forget. It’s the first song she ever heard. A perfect song for a perfect moment.

The chord progression reminds me of one of ludovico einaudi's work. By that i mean, it is a lovely sound that this song makes and its like not Trying too hard to be amazing it just is.

It's just wonderful, the chord progression makes it so light, so weightless. And then there's that effortless voice. It simply makes me appreciate the very moment I'm in.

Definitely his most underrated song in my opinion. Has always been my favorite one, and that's saying a lot. This band does incredible things with music.

Is this a song about depression? In the sense that his universe is wounded and broken and he tries to make things alright by staying calm but all he gets is rain (sadness). And he says that there infinity ahead (everything can still happen) and that everybody says the universe (life) is actually beautiful. I am probably totally wrong.

Interesting take

I saw Gregory live for the 2nd time at the beginning of this year. He asked for the crew to kill all the lights. The band and he played this song in complete darkness. Tears were shed.

+snideelf Indeed. I personally believe that we will come back to a life we deserve. If you didn't appreciate the life you're given now you'll come to live one where you are humbled by your experiences. The funny thing to me though is that life is beautiful in all its forms. Every bit of this big, beautiful, relentless world makes it so outstanding to me. Who knows, maybe I will come back to a life that is worse but in all honesty id rather have that than I would to not come back at all because there is beauty in every corner of this universe you just have to look for it.

This is my favorite song from him. By far. I love astronomy, and he made a song about the stars in the sky and the sky that holds them AND it sounds like a love song that I can fall asleep to. The best.
