Dibnt even no this was a l cohen song, and ive heard many since the late 60,s it never sunk in but this version has, luv it, shame they never did a duet ! easy to missplace one of leonards songs he had so dam many great ones !

This is OK but I find it too melancholic. LC's genius is his position to the irony of how cruel life can be and embracing the dread as part of life and love. LC's version does not give in to the melancholic but observes it as an equidistant experience -
