surprising this song isn't that hard to learn if you're in open g tuning. I'm not amazing at the guitar but i had it down extremely close to the actual song in about an hour.

Sam's always been a fantastic guitar player, though he used to rely more on layering on his earlier albums. That being said, this song is deceptively easy to play... Capo on the 4th, high E tuned to D.
Its not that easy! I've seen him play it live (!) and he messed it up. Still amazing to witness that.
It's actually impossible for me to get tired of this. In my opinion, it's one of his most beautiful songs. <3

Ha ha, all of his songs share so many parts. This uses the same tuning as Fever Dream, and even one of the riffs from the chorus. And the chorus from this song uses the Dmaj with the 11 instead of the 5th that shows up in Naked As We Came and Two Hungry Blackbirds.
(Don't mean to discredit him at all - He knows how to make the most beautiful music. I just think it's interesting, is all.)
