For the simpletons comparing this masterpiece to the dreck that is DragonForce, you really need to listen to more Metal. Primal Fear, Luca Turilli's Rhapsody, Accept, Judas Priest, Iced Earth with Ripper Owens (fuck Barlow). Those are better points of comparison.

yeah well Piet Sielck is a childhood friend of Kai Hansen with very similar musical tastes and he actually co-wrote many songs that later apeared on first helloween album in '84 and even co-wrote some parts of Heading for tomorrow (yeah, roots of this song are some 10 years older than Gamma Ray). Don't know why, but he is very rarely mentioned in any story on the beginnings of Helloween. Kai actually cofounded and actively helped Piet on Iron Savior first two albums. Condition red is supposedly the last album influenced by Kai in some way.

+EddieTheBigMonster He founded Gentry with Hansen in 1979 and he left the band around 1982-1983 when they used the name of Iron Fist (they relased a demo), after that Weikath joined the band ant they changed to Helloween, Hansen in the early days before Helloween wrote parts of songs like Save Us and Heading for Tomorrow but it seems that Sielck didn´t co-wrote that songs

This is really great, but you must admit there is too much double bass in it. I like the singing and guitar playing, I cant really hear the bass playing unless I focus hard, in all this is a great song.
