To me there´s NO other band who creates theese beautiful intros and outros, remarkable guitar riffs, solos and harmonies, climbing bass lines nor theese deep thought provocing lyrics or absolutely hypnotizing performances than Maiden, NO ONE ....thank you for this gorgeous moment in time Dave Murray....

I love that underlying harmony during the solos....that's what makes bands like Maiden and others of their ilk so good, because they know how to play a fecking tune and don't just thump their way through all the time...mentioning no names, I'm sure you all know the artistes I'm talking about....

THIS is EPIC, maybe far beyond....listen to the construction of the music, the falls, the rising, incredible lyrics, gorgeous intro and outro....it´s like another dimension, a long lost dream........oblivion...

I don't know what the fuck Dave is doing with that solo but it's the most memorable part of the album.

this is very powerful Iron Maiden song writing. I find it strange that old school IM fans dont like the new stuff. Its borderline beautiful. This song represents their maturity in such a big way. I am so glad this band are ending their amazing career with class instead of like the goofy "lets pretend we are 20 years old still" Rolling Stones.

as bruce himself said, he gave up defining metal and said that the term was only coined by journalist and publishers to target a specific niche market that like those kind of sounds. They still consider the real term to be rock or hard rock, or progressive rock in maidens case

Se un album con When the wild wind blows, Starblind, The Talisman, questa, Mother of Mercy e Coming Home manca di idee... certo, probabilmente Iron Maiden era più innovativo come album, ma avevano tutti quella trentina d'anni in meno. ;)
Poi i gusti sono sacrosanti, questo era solo per dire che uno non ascolta, a mio modo di vedere, una band di quasi 40 anni di carriera per ascoltare qualcosa di innovativo.
