I am 48 and I have loved Maiden almost all of my life. I grew up and became a mask maker and years after honing my skills I made EDDIE! EDDIE is by far my favorite mask that I have ever made. Best intro ever? So... imposing. Shades of Phaedra and Alan Parsons Project. Synths, echoes, power chords, sheer drama. Music to make an entrance by, make no mistake. One of Maiden's best songs, one of their best albums (behind Powerslave); Dickinson's cackle/shriek at the end is pretty chilling.

30 plus years on and I STILL get an adrenaline rush on the opening sequence of this song - love the power chords with that synth guitar /keyboard in the background - then the quickening of the tempo just before Bruce's vocals . Fantastic.
